Solid Chinese restaurant. Hibachi is good and sushi tastes fresh. I recommend this place!

We've been here a few times before. Sit down or take out. Service is always good. Food is generally decent. I think it depends what you order. I got sushi a few years back but wasn't impressed. The lunch special is under $10 and always filling. It's a nice spot for local Chinese/Japanese.

Probably the best AYCE sushi experience in Pittsburgh, but even then, I wouldn't necessarily recommend. Pros:*Unlike other AYCE establishments, Katana's rolls and nigiri are NOT accompanied by a ridiculous amount of rice.*You can order sashimi (max 15 of each type of fish) so you can save yourself a bunch of rice.*Seaweed salad is pretty good, though slightly sweet.*Friendly and attentive service.Cons:*Rolls aren't particularly tasty. They all taste like variations on supermarket spicy tuna. We ordered 5 rolls total and couldn't taste a difference between three of them.*The sashimi is thin and while the fish seems fresh enough, it isn't very good.

I've ordered takeout from Katana a handful of times, and my experience has always been a good one. The food is fresh, hot, and very tasty. The Crispy Roll is my favorite sushi item. Try adding asparagus to it, and thank me later :)The hibachi is very flavorful, and portions are good. Some highlights were the chicken and steak hibachi, and the chicken katsu. If you try it you won't be disappointed!

Not impressed at all. Super slow service. Size of sashimi was so slow it's unbelievable.. rise on sashimi was fallen apart all the time. Super slow service and waiter was not friendly. I I was surprised when all the stuff went to lunch all together. hope the owner will pay attention to my review

Had this place for my work lunch. Had the chicken tempura roll and cucumber avocado. They looked great! Not shortly after I got an extreme case of food poisoning. I had friends say the same. For that reason I will no longer purchase from this restaurant.

Good sushi but nothing too outstanding. Took a long time to get delivered, too. I did really enjoy the spicy shrimp roll I don't see that many other places.

I read the reviews and was quite surprised how low they were. I have been here several times and had several different dishes including all you can eat sushi and was very pleased. Never had any issues. Service and atmosphere was very good. We will be returning again soon.

we had the all you can eat sushi, it was fabulous. Everything was so fresh and delicious. It was almost $30 a person which is a little high but the choices were great. Our server was so accommodating and nice. Definitely will be back again soon when we're craving sushi.

I do not recommend this restaurant at all. Reasons below:1 - I placed an online order for delivery (on 11/17/23). The order was supposed to arrive at my home at 7:15.2 - it didn't show up, so I called at 7:30 to check on the status3 - the person that answered the phone at first couldn't find the order, then they hung up, so I called back4 - they couldn't give me an answer on when the order may arrive, they just kept saying they didn't know (we live 5 minutes away per the GPS)5 - I paid $123.44 for the order, which included a tip of $19.46 - I called back again at 7:50 and told them I would just come and get it7 - when I arrived, there was no one in the restaurant except for the workers (which if this is the level of service, I am not surprised)8 - the order was ready when I arrived (the only good part of this experience)9 - I asked for my tip back when I arrived, and they told me to reach out to BeyondMenu for resolution, I don't know if this was a lie - but I have reached out. I'd like to at least get some of my money back.10 - When I arrived home, we were missing the Eel Avocado roll (which obviously wasn't expensive, but still.)11 - I ordered the most expensive item on the sushi menu - the katana king roll - which is supposed to be king crab, with tobiko.12 - Imagine my surprise when I removed the tobiko that was piled on each portion, and discovered they had used the regular fake crab, and I can only assume the reason they covered it was to hide this fact.
