Juniper Grill - Pleasant Hills

The new Juniper Grill location opened about a month ago and tonight, we had our Christmas dinner for my Bunco group tonight. We had 13 of us plus a baby in a highchair and we were seated at 2 separate tables (kind of a bummer but maybe they don't do long tables like some places do?) We did have a reservation. Not sure. We had two servers plus a trainee. They were all awesome. I ordered the chicken enchiladas and they were delicious. The portions were large enough that I have lunch in my fridge for tomorrow. I ordered Sarris ice cream for dessert. I didn't try any cocktails but others at my table did. The consensus was that the Espresso martini was delish. My meal with tip was under $30 so I'd say it was reasonably priced. I'll definitely return.

First visit since they changed over to the new restaurant. The dip trio is your usual chain starter, nothing amazing but ok. My wife got a raspberry Bellini which she really enjoyed. The smoked salmon was pretty good as well, though, a little on the salty side. They are just getting started and I'm hopping another visit will show improvements. Overall not a bad choice for drinks and a decent meal.

Had a fabulous time at Juniper Grill on Sunday this past weekend- I felt like I had to leave a review! The food was impeccable. I got shrimp tacos, and they were the best shrimp tacos I have had in a long time. My dad got the Cheddar Burger, in which he very much enjoyed! My sister got the Rotisserie Chicken, which was moist and super delicious. We all shared the Brisket Quesadilla - we loved the cilantro crema on there and the seasoning was just fantastic. We also savored every bite of the Chocolate Torte. This restaurant is a MAJOR win all around! I thought they were going to have to carry me out! lolThe new look to the restaurant really feels upscale and luxurious. Such a nice environment to treat yourself to a night out with friends or on a date! Service was also superb! They really took care of us!

Went here the Monday before Christmas Eve and it was fairly empty, but it was also newly opened and people were traveling for the holiday. Sat at the bar was greeted and had an old-fashioned and waited for my friend to join got the French onion dip, which was their feature appetizer while I waited it was phenomenal. The staff was super nice however, I think the bartender got a little overwhelmed. However, she apologized for the delay in getting our orders and we honestly didn't care because we weren't in a hurry. When our food came, it was delicious and delightful. I definitely recommend juniper grill in pleasant hills if you want upscale dinning with a more casual experience.

The drinks were good and there is a creative cocktail menu. Very upsetting the only vegan option is a plain salad. As modern as this place wants to come off the food menu I is not very imaginative. The server was very capable of handling a large group.

Although I really miss the Atria's that was at this location, my daughter and I had lunch at Juniper Grill today. The restaurant was packed, which was good to see. Decorated beautifully for the Christmas holidays and the service was very good. I have to say I'm not a super fan of the southwestern food, but the food was decent. I had the vegetarian enchiladas and had to ask for corn tortillas. Not sure why American restaurants default to flour. Fortunately, I was accommodated, and the enchiladas were very tasty. My daughter had the fish tacos which she liked. We agreed that the side rice and beans were lacking in flavor. Overall nice spot for lunch, but I miss Atria's. We took our older parents there for special occasions and the new menu won't suit their tastes.

I got an Ahi Tuna salad to go for $19. It was terrible. Looked like a side salad, 5 pieces of veg, 4 of the smallest, thinnest pieces of tuna. Dressing was good and that was about it.

Had a very nice dinner with the family at Juniper grill. Service was great- shoutout to Jenni! Favorites were the skirt steak, brisket and ribs, and the prickly pear margarita. Looking forward to coming back and trying more menu items!

THE "SHORT RIB" IS CHUCK! The service was very good. The waitresses handled our large party and split checks no problem. The ambiance is nice, upscale casual. The shrimp tacos and prickly pear marg were quite good. HOWEVER The "short rib" is clearly chuck roast. Most people might not know the difference but I'm certain the chef and proprietor do. $24 is a fine price for short rib but well overpriced even for very good chuck. Kind of ruined the meal for me even though it was very good.

The Crab Cakes were good but they were very small. The Beef Brisket was to die for and the Pork Chop was satisfyingMake a reservation Tip the waitress serving you. She's tired and her feet hurt. Pleasant
