Josie's is a home town, family restaurant in Coalport, PA! Home of delicious wings, lobster wraps, salads, pasta, dinners, and a huge breakfast challenge! I can't recommend this place high enough. We usually come in two-three times a week, and are always greeted with excellent service, a big smile, and we feel like family....not customers. There are so many items on her menu that we love, but some of our go to favorites are:Sweet and Sassy Wings (both wet and dry)Lobster wraps Turkey dinnerBreakfast (I recommend eggs any way you can think of them, omelettes, bananas foster French toast, S'mores French toast, and you can't forget her fresh sausage patties!)Cobb SaladMeatloaf dinnerLoaded French fries (cheese, bacon, chives, sour cream)Fresh soups (can't go wrong with any of them)Country fried steak dinnerAs you can see we can go on and on. Now not only is the food delicious, but the service is quick, the coffee is fresh, and your order is cooked fresh regardless of how busy they become. You can't beat the quality!!Last, and certainly not least, is owner JoAnn who not only will check on you, but follow up on any compliment or complaint, will sit and have a conversation with you, and take any suggestion openly and graciously. She gives so much back to the community and we love getting to know her more during every visit! You owe it to yourself to check this place out! You'll be glad you did!

Welcoming little hometown place with good food and good prices. Went here on a recommendation after being in the area and wanting breakfast and it seems like they have a busy enough business to have fresh ingredients and some standards.

Holy hotcakes, this is THE place for a great breakfast! Delicious! Fresh! Made from scratch! You can't ask for more! If you're feeling up to it, try the breakfast challenge. That's finishing the large breakfast which is eggs, meat, potatoes, and two gigantic, saucer sized pancakes! If you can do it - a Josie's tee shirt is yours. Kids breakfast is an adorable teddy bear pancake!A short and beautiful 1 hour drive from State College that's well worth the trip. A great family weekend morning get away. Enjoy wildlife including wild turkey and deer along the beautiful tree lined roads. If you're camping at Gallitzin this is a must do! On the way in, the way out, or when you want a great meal without the camper/camp fire burden of cooking. Heck, I'd do all three. Oh and take a look at the prices! :)

This is our favorite place in the entire Gallitzin area. Our kids lose their minds when they're here... in a good way. Portions are good, food is great, and the staff is absolutely wonderful and friendly. It's gets a rare 5-Star review because it's Josie's!Seriously though, this is a must stop for any meal.

We moved near Coalport in 2016 and had never heard of Josie's.. but like most locals we have come to love this place! The wings are amazing and reasonably priced, just like everything else on the menu. When I ask my 4 year old where she wants to eat.. she usually says Josie's (for their bear pancake)! Keep up the great work guys.. you're doing it right!

Josie's Restaurant is far above the competition in Coalport, PA. The breakfast is served up with some of the biggest pancakes ever seen by this person here. The customer service is outright amazing and you feel like you've entered a place where everyone knows your name and if they don't you feel like you belong there by the end of the meal. I would recommend Josie's if you are in the Coalport area.

Never left hungry! but I do not find it necessary to do the house keeping while customers are eating. Two of several visits there were very disappointing as our waitress vacuumed the floor next to our table and the remaining area. There is a time and place for housekeeping, certainly not while customers are trying to enjoy their lunch or dinner!

Honestly probably the worst experience I have ever had at a small town breakfast place. Service was ok, not good but not horrible. Kitchen was very slow and unorganized. As a table of 4 who ordered very simple breakfasts each plate came out separately and one plate never actually came. Once we were seated 2 gentleman came in a sat beside us, they ordered after us and were serviced before us. Breakfast ordered was, 2 eggs scrambled and toast, sausage egg and cheese sandwich with hash browns, 2 pieces of French toast, and lastly a western omelette. The French toast never came out and after 45 minutes of waiting we left. The waitress came to the table 3 times to tell us "it's coming right out", after she told us that they had burnt the first one and they were making it again. When I went to the counter to tell the waitress we were leaving and to take the French toast off the order and that I would like a 50% cut from the bill, the owner then approached me and told me that there was no problem in the kitchen. The owner then stated that "you must have had complex requests"...the waitress chimed in and stated that it was a simple order. The French toast was for a 10 year old, pretty sad a breakfast establishment can't keep track of simple orders and then makes up excuses. Regardless, the meal was covered by the owner.
