Elegant. Sophisticated. Tasteful I have probably been to The Johnson Tea House at least 10 times. From bridal showers to baby showers to my sorority senior tea or going with my mother in law I have had my share of experiences and I e never left disappointed. They provide you with a 3 tiered plate of options from savory to sweet. Also the option of coffee OR tea. The waiter does a great job describing each dish/item on the menu so you know what to expect. My recommendation is to change up the menu more often. Like I said earlier, I've been there multiple times and it's been the same thing every time. Their good dishes, but wouldn't be a bad thing to switch it up.

This beautiful home host several rooms to accommodate parties of 12, like mine, or more. You can select round tables or long ones to seat your guest. Masks are required and seats are separated per CDC guidelines. Even so, the space felt well used and intimate. Our waiter was Ryan and he is a southern gentleman. Not sure if his from the south, but he is extremely kind, accommodating, and attentive. Thank you for all your hard work. The location is just off a private neighborhood. You would never expect it to be there, but there is plenty of parking. The parking area is all gravel, so ladies careful is your wearing heels. Outside the house is a cute seating area. Great for pictures! Once inside you are greeting by the owner/event coordinator whom shows you to your room. If you need anything she is your go to person. She made sure we had almond milk for our lactose guest, she helped hide my parents for a 2nd surprise for our guest of honor, and most importantly she ensured the entire event went smoothly. We requested a backdrop be hung and she made sure iThe food may seem light, but we were filled. You have to ask for sugar and milk. Each new tea and coffee order came with a new hot pot of water for your tea or pot with coffee. There is a cute gift shop inside too. Their tea is so delicious I had to get some. Very reasonable priced as well.

I can't get enough of the Johnston Tea House. It's the perfect place to go with family and friends to celebrate special events or simply just to catch up over a cup of tea. They serve Stash tea here, which I love. There are plenty of tea bags to choose from on each table; however, if you don't find one you like, they will gladly bring out more options. The raspberry hibiscus iced tea is fabulous, so when in doubt, you may make a special request for one (included in your tea). Make sure to try the Christmas Eve tea around Christmas time. Each table receives a 3 tiered serving platter with warm and savory options like their famous quiches and artichoke tarts, tea sandwiches on the bottom, delicious scones on the middle tier (you MUST enjoy them with the clotted cream and jam), and the best part-the top tier with chocolate mousse, a seasonal bread (my favorite is the lemon, but the cranberry bread around Christmas time is also fabulous) and sweet tarts. I love taking my mother-in-law here, and it's a great gift for teachers. You can buy gift certificates for a tea for two, three, four, etc. It's a great relational gift. It would also be the perfect venue to host your baby or bridal shower. It's always beautifully decorated, and the staff is extremely friendly and accommodating.

I was here for a wedding ceremony and reception and the owners were very professional and the food was great. The dining rooms are very elegant, and there was a lot of attention to detail.

What a lovely experience for tea aficionados! Having enjoyed high tea closer to home in Pittsburgh, I was excited to treat my close friend to birthday tea in the country. Jean took excellent care of us- down to the surprise birthday scone for the bday "princess"! Jean brought out the special treat with a candle and NO cheesy singing! Class and elegance. Johnson Tea house carried a large selection of teas, including a dessert chocolate tea. A floral Victorian motif, this relaxing afternoon experience bested any tea back home in the 'Burgh. It's worth the drive to the country!
