Tasty fish sandwich. Very nice cashier lady. Cold beer.People complain about the exterior of the place- it doesn't bother me as long as it's clean and tasty. I'd recommend.

It finally happened. After driving past this place for over 20 years, I decided to stop the car, park, and venture inside to explore and assess this place to see whether it's interior matched the exterior.For 20 years, I would sit at the traffic light, look over at this place, and told myself that someday I needed to go inside here. Although the exterior looks a bit questionable, and not very inviting, I often heard that the food was decent.Upon entering, we were warmly greeted by a woman working the counter. No one else was in the dining room so I started to wonder if I made a mistake by stopping .However, after looking over the menu and observing their great selection of bottled beers, things were looking better. We placed our order and took a seat.The fish sub and pizza came out quickly and tasted great. Soon after our arrival, the dining area started to fill up and the phone began to ring for take-out orders. I was happy to finally be in the know about this little spot I have driven past for way too long.The dining room is basic, a little worn looking, but comfortable. Their menu features about 15 different subs ranging from 4.50 to 9.75, plenty of side orders, 4 different sizes of red or white pizza, and Stromboli.Looks like Johnny L's isn't a place to pass by without stopping any longer.

I mean...big fish sandwich. But needs SOMETHING besides bread.!I do not believe the place offered toppings but ANYTHING would have helped.

Had wanted to try for a while, and finally made it there. The place isn't much on ambiance, but was very clean. The kitchen, from what you can see, was also very clean and tidy. We had the fish sandwich, the cheesesteak sandwich, and an Italian hoagie. Fish was killer good. Also loaded and huge, probably enough for two. Cocktail or tartar sauces. Definitely delivered as advertised. Cheesesteak was NY strip nicely chopped with peppers and onions. Bun was toasted in the oven, not greasy. Wife didn't even want to share ìt, because it was so good. Brother in law liked the hoagie, which also has stiff competition in the area, but wanted more italian dressing. That's a personal preference, but if you lean that way, take note. If you want classy and elegant, this is not your place. If you want good food,and large servings at a good price, then it's worth the try..

This place has:- never thought "hey, our restaurant looks like completely trash and the siding is falling off, we never painted it the past 65 years, maybe it's time to put at least $40 into it"- never undergone a sanitary inspection from department of health - never undergone a paint job- never put a single cent into their building- never put a single cent into the dining room but recently added a new sign "family Dining"- is an eye sore to greensburg - never repaired their sign in the front - is really gross smelling inside - has the most expensive food like it's a 5 star restaurant

We'll went in for 2 fish sandwiches and 2 orders of fries.Ok was told about a 45 minute wait ok No problem it is during lent. Waited in the car my 45 minutes and went in only to stand there another 15 to 20 minutes waiting. Now I'm told they "LOST " my order and I already paid for it. Was really wanting fish so they told me it would be another 20 minutes or so. So all in all I waited an hour and a half for 2 fish sandwiches and 2 orders of fries. Mine was not the only order they " LOST". The guy in front of me was waiting for Awhile also and she discounted his order but not mine like what is with that. I should have asked for my money back and went right across the street to hoss's and had a nice sit down dinner salad bar for what I paid for this. Will never go back there and would never refer anyone that I know there. Terrible Terrible Terrible and fish was undercooked

I enjoyed the fish. Lightly breaded, not too greasy, good flavor. It was much better than the Sheetz or subway across the road.

Not for anyone with colored skin. White man went before me all smiles and when I complimented the beer her frown went upside down and said in a raspy voice THANKS. I will never go there again lol. Was gonna get the fish sandwich. But she probably would've poisoned my sandwich. No coloreds allowed

Great fish sandwich! Clean on the inside. Nice selection of alcohol. I'll definitely go back.

Stopped in out of impulse while cruising back to our hotel room - I got the deluxe cheesesteak which was wonderful and the wife got the fish platter - she really enjoyed it.If we lived nearby, we would be regulars.
