This spot is so cute! They are so nice here and they have a pretty large menu with soft serve, hard ice cream, and Italian ice. They do cyclones too. I got a twist and it was delicious. I saw they do cone dips and I need to get that next time! My friends like their ice cream every time they come too. They are cash only though! On a beautiful night, it wasn't crowded and service was so fast since they have a few people working here. Definitely going to be a new go-to spot when I'm nearby!

The people working here were SO NICE and had a ton of great recommendations! We got a twist and cotton candy gelato with vanilla ice cream. Parking was super easy, but they are cash only so make sure you stop by and ATM on your way over. I cannot wait to go back and try more!

I kept driving by this place and finally stopped by.... WOW!!! First time, I did a cyclone with twist ice cream, tossed in cookie dough and brownie bits. The chunks were a plenty, but the soft-serve was AMAZING!I just went back and tried their hard ice cream in a hot fudge brownie sundae. The ice cream and hot fudge were amazing, but I was a little surprised that the "brownie" was actually those brownie bits! Still tasted amazing, but I kind of expected a big ol' warm brownie in it.Can't wait to go back a few more times before they close for the season!!!!!

This is the family place everyone should visit instead of the chains. Home made ice cream and other treats make this place wonderful. The serving sizes are HUGE so be prepared to EAT when you come to Joe'sThe upside-down banana split is a personal favorite, well worth the $5 as it fills a quart bucket. Anytime Ice Cream is served in a bucket, you can count me in!

The absolute BEST soft serve. I love their cherry Italian ice but their ice cream is thick and amazingly creamy. Look forward to some Joe'z every summer!

I wish I would have visited this place when I first moved to Pittsburgh! They have soft served and hard ice cream, Italian ice and more. From what the cashier told me everything is made in house. It was my first time and the cashier was really nice. She offered suggestions and allowed me to sample a few things. I was sold when I saw they served butter pecan ice cream. It was amazing, but I chose to go with a medium Italian ice mixed with red raspberry and lemon. The only down side is it's cash only. I enjoy supporting local businesses when I can. They have gained a new customer, I just have to make sure to have cash when I visit. If you're in the area and have a sweet tooth, I suggest you give this place a chance. P.S.: in my opinion their Italian ice has more flavor than Rita's. ‍

I remember coming here in junior high and counting my quarters to buy some ice cream here! Family-owned, homemade ice cream! The upside down banana split is my go-to favorite and it's so big you can share. It was a quart plastic container filled to the top with layers of ice cream, syrups, and fruit...topped with whipped cream and a cherry. They are cash-only so make sure you brought some with you! If not, there's a bank across the street.

First time trying it tonight and cant believe i haven friven past this little gem for 2 years and waited this long..homemade ice cream is delicious good prices and great service

I drove by the place for a year before finally deciding to check it out. They have a great selection of ice cream and Italian ice. I was surprised by the range of what they make in house - there are some great hard ice cream and frozen ice places in the city that make their own product, but rarely do I come across somewhere that has both. The ice cream was great, and the serving sizes were generous. I got a chocolate cone and my wife got an Italian ice. Both were very good, and had a lot of flavor. I wish the place was open year round! It's a must stop if you live in the nearby, and definitely worth the drive for people who are in the area.

Absolutely the kindest staff around this local area. They have a large variety of ice cream! Service is always quick. Prices are fair.
