I had the day off and time to cook, so I hit up my account at Yummly.com and found my old favorite recipe, Slow Roasted Pork Arepas with Quick Pickled Onions & Chimichurri.I walked over mainly for the pickled onions, but also to investigate. I wanted to see how this store stacked up to Spice and Sabzi in Wexford, which I really like. The store is brightly lit with moderately narrow, fully stocked aisles of (mostly Indian) food similar to Spice & Sabzi. There is an impressive selection of teas, sweets, and oils.I was not greeted when I came in, even though I was the only customer, but after about 10 minutes of shooting pictures to post on Yelp, a man hustled over, asking if I needed help. I told him I needed pickled onions and he gave me a quizzical look. I said onions that have been pickled, like cucumbers. He took me down an aisle and pointed to onions. Raw onions. Okay. No problem. Plan B: Chorizo Arepas with Arugula and Orange Salad. I finished strolling around and went to the back of the store. I saw at least a half a dozen items I was interested in. Unfortunately none of them had prices. When the man asked me if I needed help, I told him there were 6 items I needed prices for. He took each one to the front, then returned to tell me the price. He did not speak fluent English, so I thought maybe he didn't understand when I offered to tell him all six items, so he could make one trip. After the third item I thanked him kindly and left. It's a pet peeve of mine when items are not priced. And I really dislike having to ask numerous times for the price on several items. All six of the unpriced items were in the back of the store. Still, the man was nice about getting the prices. This is a smaller store than Spice and Sabzi and though neat and well-stocked, does not have the wide variety that's Spice and Sabzi in Wexford has. Although the Wexford/Cranberry townships are monied areas, prices are better there. Not everything is priced there, but very few items are unmarked. And I'm always greeted when I'm there, which is nice. This is a great location (3 minute walk from home), right on Potomac Avenue, which is lined with businesses. It's a couple blocks from the Red Line T and the #41 PAT bus. I like the fact that it is a small business. And I love supporting small businesses, but prefer to shop at Spice and Sabzi.

After so much time for this market to be closed(due to a fire), they are finally open! This market is extremely convenient for the locals. The owners are still stocking shelves with essentials, but it is coming together very nicely from the looks of it. It's a family owned market right on potomac ave in Dormont. They have, right now, produce, "pops", chips, pastas, sauces, paper needs, candies, ice creams, and dairy! Most of their items are international brands. The store was redone very nicely and orderly! I am very excited about this store! Very promising so far!

What a wonderful find in the Dormont area! I wanted to check the place out after getting my Queen from the dog groomers. I'm glad i stopped in. I bought gourmet marshmellows, macarons, and mortadella. Mortadella is not a common meat in the Dormont area, but it should be! It is more flavorful then regular bologna, and Jmart sells different kinds including plain. The marshmellows are real ans not Styrofoam like the popular brand. The macarons are delicious. I'll be coming here again!

It's great having a grocery store in Dormont again. This store carries a lot of the day to day basics at fair prices. They also have a cool selection of international products you can't find in other stores. Since they have opened they have continued to increase their inventory hopefully they continue to grow and become a complete one stop shop for all my grocery needs.

80% of the goods without price tags. So bought products from them on a price tag $9.60 and in check $24, cheat. Candy has been caught with worms several times.

Every time I come to the store the cashier is distracted and while taking me trying to take care of several other people even though there are other people who can help. I usually come with a little child and give them heads up if I need anything that takes time so it wouldn't take too much additional time. That barely ever works. Today I came in and cashier literally talked to another customer instead of taking me even though he came in later and took several phone calls during which stopped taking care of me for a while. This was ridiculous. My baby was screaming but that didn't ring any bells. I simply had to leave without purchasing what I wanted because I couldn't wait any longer. And before when I ordered samsa several times I ended up with wrong orders simply because no one paying attention. This store is convenient for me and I usually leave several hundreds each time I come here. I don't think I want to come back though because obviously I am not as important as other customers.
