JJ Panda is an Asian restaurant that offers dining in, takeout, and delivery. Their menu lists many appetizers (e.g., buns, rolls, dumplings, and soups), dozens of entrees (e.g., fried rices, lo mein, udon, ramen, chicken, beef, pork, shrimp, ho fun, mi fun, vegetables, etcetera), and non-alcoholic beverages. In the past couple of years, I have ordered food from JJ Panda several times. For all orders, the restaurant promptly cooked my foods, and the time between my orders and deliveries was 24-30 minutes on weekend days.Overall, I think that this restaurant serves typical Americanized Chinese foods. Here are my reviews for the foods from all orders:Cream Cheese Wonton - 4.5 stars - Six wontons had a crispy dumpling and a tasty cheese filling.Chicken on a Stick - 4.5 stars - This appetizer consisted of four American-style kabobs that were different than we had expected. Chunks of meat were very tender and juicy and were on a stick with chunks of green peppers and onions.Chashao Bao - 4 stars - Three BBQ pork buns consisted of fluffy dough that was filled with a good amount of tasty BBQ pork. General Tso's Chicken - 3 stars - I had requested a spiciness of medium, but it actually tasted mild. The meat seemed to be mostly dark and slightly tough. On the side were white rice that was steamed perfectly and an egg roll that was large, had a crispy exterior, and a flavorful filling.Chicken with Broccoli - 4.5 stars - The meat was juicy, the broccoli was fresh, and the sauce was flavorful. On the side were fried rice, which my husband liked but said that he would prefer to not contain peas and carrots, and an egg roll.Chicken Lo Mein - 4 stars - My husband ate this entree. He described it as "good."Beef Lo Mein - 4 stars - My husband ate this entree and said that it was good.Vegetable Roll - 4.5 stars - This vegetable roll had a crispy outer wrapper and tasty shredded vegetables inside.Shrimp Egg Roll - 4 stars - This egg roll had a crispy outer wrapper and lots of fresh vegetables and some shrimp inside.Vegetable Soup - 4.5 stars - This soup contained mushrooms, celery, broccoli, peas, and green peppers. These vegetables were fresh and healthy.Stir Fried Vegetable Ramen - 3.5 stars - I thought that I had ordered the Vegetables Ramen Soup that was right next to this other entree in the menu. Oops! This entree contained no broth. It contained many noodles and some fresh peas, carrots, broccoli, and other vegetables.Vegetable Ramen Soup - 3 stars - I finally ordered what I intended to order. I felt surprised that the noodles were not typical ramen noodles. The noodles looked more like Italian pasta noodles. Furthermore, the broth had a very mild flavor and could use more seasoning.Mixed Vegetables - 4 stars - The vegetables were very fresh, were cooked very well, and had a flavorful sauce. Specific vegetables included broccoli, carrots, mushrooms, corn, pea shoots, I think bok choy and water chestnuts.Broccoli with Garlic Sauce - 4 stars - This entree was supposed to be "Medium hot," but it tasted mild to me.Sweet and Sour Shrimp - 3.5 stars - Several large shrimps had a crispy outer breading. Sauce was on the side.Chicken fried rice - 4 stars - My husband ate this entree, and he said that he liked it. He appreciated that the cook left out the peas and carrots as requested.Orange chicken - 3 stars - The chicken meat was tender, and the sauce tasted good, but the breading was very soggy. The breading either fell off on its own, or I pulled it off to avoid eating it.Sesame balls - 4 stars - These sesame balls contained a red-bean paste that tasted very good. My husband and I thought that these sesame balls were crispier than other restaurants' sesame balls.

We walked into an empty restaurant but were greeted and seated right away. Our waitress was pleasant and the food arrived quickly and was delicious. I enjoy a lot of sauce and there was plenty. My boba was the best I've had in a long while. The restaurant was clean and cultural music was playing in the background. We will be back again!

I had been hungry for Asian Food and we happened upon JJ Panda. The woman that greeted and took care of us was really nice. I'll start with the positives because I like to be as positive as possible. I know these businesses are someone's livelihood. The Mongolian Beef was the best that I've ever had. It was so flavorful. The sauce was amazing. My husband really liked his won to. Soup and said it was very flavorful. I liked the fried dumplings and thought they were good. This good food and the good service is why I bumped it up to 4 stars when I would really say 3.5 stars. Here are the things that I didn't like as well. I was hungry for an egg roll. Unfortunately, it was more of a spring roll and it wasn't that flavorful. I had hot and sour soup that also was not that flavorful. The fried rice also was not that flavorful but was better once I put soy sauce on it. It could have been an off night. We definitely would try it again. I definitely want that Mongolian Beef again. It was amazing.

Saw JJ Panda pop up as a new option on one of my food delivery apps. The menu was huge and seemed to have something for everyone. So we gave it a shot. Overall I'd say this place is good but definitely not great. A nice option for the area, but not something I'd go out of my way for. Here's what we had:Ma Po tofu (1/5). Not good at all. It was sweet (not a good thing), and zero heat. It was also not prepared with silken tofu, but the spongy firm variety. IMO this makes a huge difference. Pork with eggplant (4/5). This was good. I appreciated the big chunks of charsiu pork. But again, there was zero heat with this dish and the eggplant was just a bit undercooked. Mooshu pork (3.5/5). The actual dish wasn't bad. Nice flavor, good mix of ingredients. But the wrappers were not moo shu wrappers, but rather spring roll wrappers. And the sauce was not hoisin, but rather oyster sauce (so not the same!).Soups (4/5). About what you'd expect from egg drop and hot & sour. Nothing out of the ordinary. I will probably order from here again because of the convenience factor for us, but nothing stands out as being a *must have*.

Personally some of the best Chinese food I've had in Pittsburgh. I ordered Sweet & Sour Chicken with Fried Rice. Cooked perfectly, nothing was grease or saturated in cooking oils. Full of flavor. Chicken Lo Mein was also very tasty and full of flavor. The vegetables looked fresh and not frozen. I would definitely order again. Also from time of order to DoorDash delivery was about 20 minutes max.

Food was excellent. The steamed buns were a big hit with everyone. The ambience was a clean, basic layout with several tables and nicely painted wall decorations.Wait time was a bit long, so if ordering a to go meal, allow some time.I'll be back for more, that is for certain!

One of the better Chinese takeouts in Pittsburgh/Wexford. The Hong Kong crispy noodles are delicious, as well as the hot and spicy soup.

Just ordered General Tso Chicken and Sweet and Sour Chicken Dinners with fried rice and spring rolls, it was AWFUL. Not only were the prices high but it tasted like all the food was heated in the microwave and not fresh. The sweet and sour sauce was also put directly on the chicken, which is not normally how it's served. Awful. Wish I could've got my money back.
