Stopped her for dinner with a friend on a Wednesday night, and it was my first time here. Would I come back? Yes. Would I changed what pizza I ordered? Also yes. Service here was ok/good. I feel like our cocktails took way too long to get to us... and the restaurant wasn't all that busy at all. I did feel the drink prices were steep as most Drinks are at least $10. For food I ordered the Mexican street corn pizza. It was ok. Filled the hunger void. It wasn't totally what I was expecting. I was expecting a lot more of the corn taste, the mayo, the classic cotija cheese. The whole thing was rather overpowered by the yellow chipotle tasting sauce on top. Overall good, not my favorite. Definitely want to come back though as the restaurant as a very cool vibe and the food is definitely fresh. I absolutely want to try another recipe pizza next time!

I never thought downtown Altoona would have any nice establishments again. Downtown is coming back at a fast pace. JJ Hadley is a great place to get something quick. In one week, we have eaten here 3 times and 1 of the times we did take out. The pizza is very good. I tried a few, but my favorite will always be the pepperoni pizza. With it having a bar, I thought it would be loud, but it wasn't. The staff is awesome. It is a bit pricey for the personal pizza's. Generally, the cost of the personal pizzas are more than a large family style pizza pie.

We came here for the first time for a late lunch on a Saturday afternoon. We sat in the open-air area, which was quite nice. The interior space is nice, as well, and their pizza oven is impressive. We ordered a flight of their own beers from their extensive selection. The ones we had were ok. We each ordered a pizza - a Margherita pizza and a Sweet Heat pizza. The pizza was phenomenal. The crust was perfect, and the sauce, cheese and toppings were excellent. I ate an entire pizza myself. Service was friendly and attentive. Good prices for the pizzas. I recommend checking it out.

Stopped here on a Saturday night while in the area. Located in the older downtown Altoona, this is one of the only things open there. Kind of depressing but this place was packed.A dude met us at the door and Walkie talkied back and sat us inside the outdoor area. Our waitress was nice - ordered a Diet Coke and a salad to start while looking over the menu. It's mainly pizza here which is fine by me - several options and they also have an extensive self-made beer list. We shared two pizzas - the pickle prosciutto and then the Detroit pepperoni style. The pickle one was the wood-fired style, had a nice dough floor undercarriage and burnt bubbles up top. I would rate it a 6.2? The prosciutto was barely there - maybe two pieces on the whole pizza. The Detroit style was really lacking. The crust was under done - the sauce and pepperoni had the quality of cafeteria or snack bar pizza. I was starving so I polished it - it looked great don't get me wrong but just severely average. Got cheesecake for dessert but anything else we wanted they were out of. Not bad good taste. Nice place - cool place - but food on this trip was just OK.

I dream about their pretty fly for a white pie. It's absolutely delicious! Going here for dinner is an absolute treat! Their side salads are jam packed with Parmesan cheese! So good! Their margaritas are tasty as well!

Had the wood fired upside down pepperoni pizza and a Septemberweizen. 10/10 in this guys book. Great, comfortable, warm space on a rainy Saturday night. Can't wait to come back and sample more of their offerings.

Wow what a great classy pizza spot. Prices were reasonable and menu had plenty options. I had the spiced pie with candied jalapeño and the leak soup, which was basically a hot vichyssoise. I love soup all year, but fall time is prime soup season and this hit the mark, big time. Great draft list too. Only criticism is, I personally don't like when a place cuts my pie and whatever liquid, be it sauce or oil I think in this case, runs and is absorbed by the bottom of the pie giving the crust an almost soggy consistency. It's a shame to cook a pie in an open fired oven and not prioritize holding onto that crisp crusty bottom...best not to cut it before you bring it to the table...just let the guests cut it, or give them that option. Amazing flavor, just lost a star on the soggy crust for me.

Fun, relaxed atmosphere and great original brews! The lager was tasty. Really enjoyed the Mexican street corn pizza. A great place to catch up with friends! Bonus points for the cool patio area, perfect on a summer evening.

My family and I used to love this place but I had a horrible experience there last Saturday night. I ordered the potato crust deep dish pepperoni pizza and I got food poisoning later that night. I threw up for hours and got really sick. I am thinking they used old dough because my husband and daughter ate regular pies and didn't get sick. We will never go back after this horrible experience. It's a shame because before this we enjoyed going there.
