Jims Smoken Que BBQ

The food truck came into my work and was horrible. Lack of flavor in the barbecue itself, only offered one style sauce and they didn't let you put it on yourself, the mac and cheese tasted like DISH SOAP (I kid you not) and they were supposed to stay at the facility from noon - 2pm. Around 12:45 they asked if everyone was served so they could leave. They ran out of containers for the sides and to top it all off they didn't offer an apology or discount for the fact that the mac and cheese was inedible. Bottom line: Bad food; worse service. There are so many better food joints in Pgh, so don't waste your time or money.

Ribs fell off the bone, bbq sauce just ok, basic Mac n cheese - nothing fancy but tastes ok. Was going to get the grilled corn but glad I didn't - saw someone else's and it looked like feed corn. Maybe cause it was the end of the season ?

Perrysville Tavern used to be our favorite place to get a fish sandwich. Since they changed ownership and name to Perrytown Drafthouse, we have been meaning to stop in, especially during the spring, summer and fall, because of the amazing aroma coming from the outdoor grill/smoker parked outside!We recently heard that the BBQ fair was available through GrubHub as "Jim's Smoken Que BBQ."My wife and I ordered the Mac and cheese, nachos plus two half racks of ribs. The nachos weren't half bad but the Mac n cheese was barely warm and pretty bland. The ribs were greasy and covered in black soot! Pulling them apart and taking a bite revealed meat that was literally ice cold and our tastebuds were greeted to the taste and aroma of lighter fluid!!!Totally in-eatable!I'm no professional chef, but I know my way around a kitchen. It was painfully obvious that the ribs had previously been grilled, stored in the refrigerator or freezer and hastily thrown on the grill, along with a generous amount of starter fluid to re-light the coals, for a quick re-heat. UGH!We contacted Jim's and expressed our displeasure. He argued with me that he had just eaten some ribs and they were fine. So we reached out to GrubHub. They apologized and said they would try and get our money back from the pub. After a week with no word, I called GH again and they said Jim's refused to return their calls. GH themselves returned our money. BUYER BEWARE!!!

The food tastes good (we got grilled corn and beef brisket). The problem was that there was very little food for the price ($13). Prices were way too high for a small amount of brisket on a hamburger bun.

This guy is a master smoker. He takes low and slow to the next level. He said fall off the bone ribs. I assumed it was the same as any other rib maker ever, but he is serious. These are the only ribs that I have ever eaten with a fork, because you have to. The sauce is perfect it is the pinnacle of sauces. It is sweet and tangy. Same with the chicken. Not your ordinary pice of chicken nice juicy and amazing. Over all go check this guy out.

Jim catered our daughters grad party & the smoker onsite was a hit along with the melt in your mouth ribs, chicken & pulled pork menu!!! We received so many complements!!!

My wife and I stopped at Stick City Brewing in Mars, PA after a beautiful afternoon motorcycle ride. Jim's Smoken BBQ truck was stationed in the parking lot and we decided to grab a half rack of ribs, ear of corn and pulled pork sandwich. WHAT A MISTAKE. The ribs were absolutely disgusting. gristle and fat, chewy, seemingly not completely cooked. There was little to no flavor of their BBQ sauce. My wife ordered the pulled pork sandwich and she was equally disappointed in the quality of the meat and lack of flavor. I asked the owner about the excessive pink color of the ribs and he provided a an answer that made no sense. They did offer and provide me a refund and said he had never had any complaints in the past. Previous to ordering, I asked if he had ever done the rib cook off at Steel City HD and he said he hadn't but, "I'd clean up if I did." Well....I've been to that cook off twice and I've had ribs at quite a few places; Jim's Smoken BBQ are the only ribs I've ever ordered that weren't fit for consumption. I have ZERO idea why anyone would return for more, it was that bad.
