I love square cut pizza and Jimmy Z's is really good! Nice size and very good prices!! I've been there twice now.

Pizza was just ok. With so many options in Pittsburgh, it's hard to compete. They were a little busy and construction in the area took awhile. The calzone was the best part. Had a lot of cheese inside and good flavor.The sauce on the pizza wasn't my type and crust tasted almost frozen.Younger kids working there were nice

First off - the guys that work here are just so nice and friendly. I ordered via phone - 16 cuts - plain cheese - but did ask for a little extra sauce on it :). They told me it would be about 25 min and man - they were spot on! The guy was literally packing it up as I walked in! They have a shared parking lot - lots of spots - so no worries there! For local Pittsburghers - this is a lot like Betos ... cook the shell and then toss cheese on. Overall good pizza from friendly team of folks! Will be back ..

I absolutely love a crispy crust, square cut pizza. DiCarlo's, Beto's...and now you can add Jimmy Z's to the list. Bonus: their Castle Shannon location (there's another in Houston, PA) is closest to home for me of all of these.Jimmy Z's crust is twice baked, making it the crispiest of the bunch. They use fresh-squeezed tomatoes and a blend of 100% real cheese and it is just so good!! I've visited a few times now and the people are also incredibly nice. It's clear they believe in their product, enjoy what they are doing and appreciate your business. I have yet to try anything but the pizza, but their other offerings include Strombolis, hoagies and cheese garlic bread (very high on my to-try list).My first couple of times here, I didn't think ahead and stopped in on a whim, ordering at the counter and sticking around while they prepared my slices. This time, I thought to go to the website to see if there was online ordering and placed my order in advance. You order by the cut, and there was a small, $1.50 total convenience charge for the order which I didn't mind in exchange for my time and just considered an addition to my tip. They quoted a time and when I arrived it was just coming out of the oven. Perfection! This is probably my favorite South Hills pizza place currently.

Great quick pizza shop in the South Hills of Pittsburgh.Thin crust pizza that you can customize with many different toppings. Friendly service. Mostly a take out place, but few seats if you want to eat there. Will go back!

If you like Detroit-style pizza, this place is one of the best! It has a delicious crisp buttery crust with fresh tasting tomato sauce. The cheese is a mozzarella and provolone mixture that complements the crust and sauce perfectly. One of my favorites in the South Hills.

So far the best pizza in the greater Pittsburgh area. Coming from a Jersey guy. Great service and the pizza rocks

New pizza place? I'm all in! First of all, I love me some square cuts and this place does it right! The sauce is delicious (hand squeezed tomatoes) and the crust - O!M!G! - it's twice baked so it's the right kind of crunchy- it was really a delicious and delightful surprise. Oh and don't get me started on their garlic bread - stuffed with cheese????? Yes, please! The only thing I did not love was the mushrooms (canned mushrooms are not my fave) but I think I found my new square cuts place :-)

The crust is pre-cooked. Sauce is then baked on. Chees goes on after the pizza is cooked. The sauce was thin and smooth and the crust was crispy. Many people compare this place to Beto's, but Beto's has a sauce that is much too chunky compared to most pizza places. The pizza was hot and ready when I picked it up. Some have complained of cold pizza, not here. The pizza was kept on top of the oven and was hot even after I drove 12 minutes home to eat it. My wife tried it a few hours later. She said, "Where the heck is this from?" and "This doesn't look good!" She ended up eating four slices because she realized how good the flavor is. We both remarked and it sums up the review of this place - Oddly Satisfying.

Friendly, efficient and they make a great meatball sandwich. May be the best in the South Hills!
