We've eaten here a few times, it's always spot on.Pricing is pretty reasonable.Portions are a little on the small side but I don't mind sacrificing size for quality food! The price is right just order extra.Great service from Tara!We got the Chicken Marsala (always good). We tried the Eggplant Rollatini w/nice side salad (first time for this dish, really good!).All Good here!

I have visited Tarentum Station Grill on multiple occasions. I have been here for an engagement party. We had a very large party and most of the guests ordered steaks. I did not enjoy my steak that night but understand the difficulties to serving very large parties. I have also had the steak salad for lunch multiple times. This is my go to meal and I throughly enjoy this salad. I also love the French onion soup. I am always greeted warmly here and served quickly.

1. Waiter was on something 2. For 38 dollars it was not worth it. The entire plate looked the same. Covered in salt. Couldn't eat it. 3. Waiter forgot to put in the kids order. 4. The muscles were tasty. However served with burnt toast. Used to be a good place for dinner. Not the case anymore.

We were meeting an old friend to touch base and then head to lunch before doing some sightseeing to visit old haunts from my parents' youth. They grew up in Tarentum and we thought it would be fun to find their first house and some other places. We popped by the Station to grab a late lunch around 2PM.Our server was very attentive and nice. We ordered the bowl of beans and greens to start. The bowl part threw me a little bit but when it came out, we realized it was more like a beans and greens soup. It was super tasty and our server split it for us into two smaller cups. We also ordered the broiled scrod entrée with broccoli. The fish was cooked nicely and was a large portion. It was supposed to be served with butter and breadcrumbs but it was not all that flavorful and lacked bread crumbs. I usually see the fish broiled to crisp up the breadcrumbs and slightly brown the top but this was not crispy. Sort of "meh" preparation. The broccoli came as a full intact half head that was sort of on the undercooked side. It must be hard to properly cook an entire 1/2 head of broccoli. The parts we did not enjoy included one of the other servers shattering a glass in the outside busing area and then loudly swearing and carrying on. He also stepped outside of the dining area to greet a friend that was smoking and loudly spitting 10 feet from our table. Super gross. We almost had to leave.Overall, the place is a great piece of history and filled with good ideas. Hopefully they can sort out the preparations a little bit and keep the outside dining area free from smoke and things. We know times are tough right now so we'd give them another try.

My husband and ate dinner here for the first time recently. The staff was friendly and we enjoyed the atmosphere. My husband got Chicken Romano and I had the Chicken Marsala. Both meals came with soup or salad. However when we received our entrees it was just two plates of chicken with no potato or vegetable. Apparently you can purchase your sides for an additional $3 each. The meals were each over twenty dollars already. It is a nicer restaurant so if a meal is $30 just charge what it costs to receive a complete entree instead of making it seem less expensive by not serving a full meal. I have been to a lot of restaurants in my life and this is the first time we received entrees without sides. Unless it's a pasta dish it should have a vegetable and a carb.

Interesting location. It's fine dining inside a train station, with some good Italian fare. Fine dining means its a bit expensive and reservations are probably a good idea.

Very cool old building (the only drawback is that noise bounces around it). Their steaks are great even as leftovers, which isn't the case with most restaurants. Their steak salad is the best around.

One of the best meals we've had in awhile. Large steak salad Pittsburgh style - with fries. Took half home. Chicken dish was tasty and tender. Fair price for all. Will return.

I had the Steak Salad with poppyseed dressing. The dressing was too sweet for my tastes, the steak was well done (requested med/rare) and salad was just okay. I had the French fries on the side and they were the best part. 3 stars because of the patio and previous good meals.
