I was just in town for a day and I wanted some ice cream after dinner, I thought that I was going to a real dairy, instead I found a nice convenience store at a gas station. The ice cream was OK, but nothing special, although the price was good. Overall just MEH, but nothing special.

As part of the Visit PA 2023 Scooped Ice Cream Trail, I made my way to New Salem. It was an over hill over dale trip. The local churches must have just let out. Several families came in with one focus ... ice cream. Cones, quarts, and gallons were sailing out the door.I sat outside on a bench and totally enjoyed my ice cream. One family joined me on the benches. They said stopping for Jackson Dairy was a mandatory stop on the way to and from grandparents' house in Laurel Caverns. Getting gas to make the trip home was 1 stop shopping.

We've been going to Jackson Farms for over 45 years , my parents would go and take our glass jugs to get filled! And still to this day we continue to go here because the milk is great especially the Chocolate and Buttermilk! Now let's talk about their Homemade Ice Cream, it's in a league of their own, my favorite is the Peanut Butter Fudge and Pistachio but we've tried most of the flavors and have liked every one so far! They also have excellent food daily, my favorite is the Kielbasa and Kraut sandwiches on Wednesday's! The Staff is always so nice! So if you're looking for a great Local Place please check out Jackson Farms, I guarantee you'll stop again!!

Despite the name, this is not actually a farm. In fact, Jackson farms is a convenience store with a cafe and a sunoco gas station. However, don't let that deter you from visiting! From the outside you can see Jackson Farms is more than your ordinary gas station. Inside you will notice they have all the regular items you may stop for, such as lottery tickets, potato chips and pop. But then you will notice so much more. There is cafe in the back with daily lunch specials. A deli with lunch meats, bacon, and cheese. As well as homemade potato and antipasta salad and hoagies. A bakery case full of fresh donuts. And a table full off fresh homegrown veggies like tomatos and onions. The best part of it all, the ice cream! Jackson farms produces their own milk and then turns it into a delicious variety of flavors of ice cream. Theres cookie monster, banana berry, peanut butter, and of course the traditional chocolate and vanilla. Ice cream is available either to go in gallons and pints or served in a cup or cone. If your looking for something to do one day, take the trip to Jackson Farms for lunch, and dessert. You'll be happy you did!

Wow! Was not at all what I was expecting. In a way, very much the opposite. I walked in with very low hopes and expectations. Walked out with an ice cream cone and a huge smile on my face. The store itself has some basics, but not as much as what you would find at a GetGo, WaWa, or Sheetz. What the store does have is a huge dairy section with their own name on the products. Two huge freezers with what looked like half quarts of ice cream of every flavor you can imagine. And about three other dairy cases. Didn't explore much the other dairy cases. The customer service was exceptional, small town, makes me wish they knew my name because I was a regular-type of a feel, but I was just passing through. On a whim I decided to get a scoop of ice cream. Trying to be modest I asked for the smallest scoop they had and even then the scoop was huge. Thank you, BTW. I had no idea that I would want to eat every bit of that "small" ice cream scoop, and then as I'm driving away try to create schemes in my mind for how I can come back another time to get more. The only plan I could come up with is a cooler with dry ice, as I live a state away, but even that could get pricey. The ice cream itself was toothsome, almost buttery and very sweet, as expected. The flavor and the ice crystal consistency reminded me of the ice cream my family used to make in those wooden electric churn type of machines but oh-so-much better. Thanks so much for the hospitality, the treat, and the flashback of memories the ice cream triggered. Can't wait to create an excuse to come back!

My family has been getting our milk here for over 40 years. The only place in the region worth getting your dairy products.

Was looking to support a local farmer and came across their ice cream! It is amazing! We purchased the Blueberry Cheesecake and the Pistachio. Would highly recommend.
