A completely unexpected find in the farmlands of Western Pennsylvania. Took a scenic ride to "stretch my legs" and found this little hidden gem by accident. Figured, "what the heck, I like wine!"What I found was a totally unexpected and wonderful experience. Most smaller mom 'n pop wineries are just not that good. Especially those outside the normally expected areas like Napa, Russian River Valley, etc. The ambiance is both country and modern at the same time. Meaning clean lol. The decor and welcoming smile scream "welcome home" and at the same time subtly describe a very modern wine experience. Apparently they get their grapes from California then make wine here. And it shows. This is the first Pinot Noir I've had outside Oregon that was actually good! The Montepulciano was very good too! I will admit I only tried one sampling of each of the reds and over half were great. Which is saying something. Also nice was the simple yet tasty charcuterie service. The presentation was simple yet appropriate. Sitting outside, enjoying the Sun and countryside just made the experience a visit to remember. If you ever want to try a local winery, sit at a relaxed venue, be served with a smile, and leave with a coups of fantastic bottles of wine, definitely make your way here. And apparently if you come on Sunday, you'll enjoy some live music to boot!

J&D has opened tasting room near the Meadows Casino. I have been to their 84 location, and it's great. This location was equally as fun, if not more. Parking is super convenient. Wine tasting is $5 for 6 wines, but the fee is waived if you purchase a bottle. The bottles are fairly priced as well. This is a family owned and operated business. The man helping us during our tasting was amazing, and had so much knowledge of the wine his family works so hard to blend and produce (owners son, I feel terrible I can't remember his name)There was also a live two man band on Friday night, can't beat it!I will absolutely be back here.

Chris was invited to play with some of his friends at their show at J&D Cellars. Even though I had to work at 5:30 the next morning I decided to be a good fiance and go and see him play and have a semi-date night. I am so happy that I dragged my sleepy butt with him. This winery was great. It was so pretty inside and the music was wonderful. I didn't know what to expect since I had never been here or to 84 but I really would recommend anyone in the area going to try it out. It is a hidden gem for sure.We went to the tasting counter and were told that we had 6 tastings available. With their wine list, (http://www.jndcellars.com/html/wine-list/) it was hard to pick just 6 wines. Cabernet Sauvignon: Full bodied with loads of fruit flavors and tannins.: This was my favorite of all of the wines we tasted. It was just really good. A perfect dry wine.Petite Sirah: Full-bodied and robust with luscious and structured tannins to the end.: Now that I am thinking back, this might be my favorite of the night! I liked the dry wine and that it was flavorful but not to tart that my lips puckered. Blackberry Merlot: Fruity wine with plenty of body and tannins: This was a little too sweet for me but had a huge blackberry flavor. Chloe's Choice: Sweet white wine bursting with flavors of green apple: This was Chris' favorite. It was sweet (too sweet for me) and full of that green apple flavor.I now forget which other one's we tasted. But those are the ones that stand out so those are the ones that everyone should try!We also got two glasses to drink while we sat at our table. I didn't want an entire bottle while we were there, I did have to work, but one glass was nice to have while listening to music. I was impressed that it filled up as much as it did. People kept pouring in. You are able to bring outside food so people were eating dinner, snacking, and one table that was reserved looked like a potluck. I am impressed that the winery was open to having outside food. They did offer for purchase some cheeses and crackers to go with the wine they were also selling. Nice little addition just in case someone forgot/might be a bit hungry. I look forward to the next time he plays at J&D Cellars. It was a great atmosphere and even better, great wine.

Cute shop with local PA wines. It's a nice place to gather with friends, sip wines, and see live music. I was happy to see Bedillion's honey for sale. Local businesses supporting each other is a big plus in my book. You can bring your own food, but there are cookies and little snacks available.

This winery is 20 minutes from our house. They have opened the new building that is absolutely beautiful. The inside smells like fresh wood, they have picnic tables and chairs in the front, and a deck in the back which is very nice. It looks like the deck will be added on with a roof potentially. The wine is very good. I recommend going here. They do not have food but little things like cheese and crackers. You are welcome to bring your own food during the week, and on Sunday's they have food from neighboring vendors. Love this place.. Way to go JD Cellars..

A group of us were eating at Primantis and decided to get some wine for when we got home. We noticed that JD Cellars was just next door! It was about 8:58 when we walked in (we were those annoying people walking in 2 min before they closed) and the doors were locked. The woman inside opened them for us and told us we were still able to come in and purchase something quickly (yes- she said quickly). She let us sample whichever wines we wanted & I ended up getting the sweet Wild Cat. I like that she gave us the option of having a cold bottle or room temp one. I didn't end up drinking the wine until later that week but it was amazing! The bottle ran around $14 which I didn't think was too bad!She also informed us of all of the fun events they host there. I'll have to come back and check one of those out!

I just love J&D wine cellars! They owner is so nice! They have a wide selection of wines all year. Most are either sweet or dry but there are a few semi-sweet. They recently built a new store which is beautiful! They often sponsor events that are held there. When the weather is nice, there is patio seating and live music at various times. If you like visiting local wineries, give J&D a visit!

Five star all the way. Got there and we were immediately greeted by the fantastic and friendly owner. Offering me samples of whatever I wanted to try. She was great. Telling us a little bit of history, noting that their building is relatively new and her husband built it. Very cool building, inviting and warm. I chose a few varieties of their sweeter wines. I like a good sweet white. What I tried were fantastic! I ended up buying some. I enjoyed Chloe's Choice (Chloe is the goat) which is a sweet white with a mild appley flavor, light and refreshing. I also enjoyed the creekside rose, and the diamond. All sweet and refreshing! I will certainly stop again. Loved it!!!

Easy access almost right off I70. Great staff, good music, excellent wines... we like dry reds and there was a good selection to chose from. The wife and I did 2 flights of the dry and then chose a bottle we both agreed upon to sit back and listen to the band. We will return!

Here's where you can get the full winery experience! I never knew how many ways you could enjoy wine until I visited here. From a single glass of wine to sangrias or wine slushies there's no way anyone can't find a favorite. The venue at the Meadows is warm and welcoming and so is the staff. Not only are they always well versed and ready to help you with what you need but J&D Cellars Winery At The Streets offers some good entertainment every weekend. You simply have to make some time to get in there and let them show you the way . . . . .Wines for all occasions and parties!!"JoLo"
