Westmoreland county Pa.is fortunate to have so many of the country's best pizza and Italian Village Pizza is one of them. The restaurant is very nice with booths and tables available and it is always nice and clean. The staff always is very friendly when they greet you and make eye contact. The crust is very light and thin but also very crunchy and sturdy. The sauce and cheese they use is excellent and it is always perfectly cooked. I was early and took a seat to wait for my pizza, when it was ready the staff brought it over to me thanking me for the business instead of calling me to come up and get it. That is the great service you get here.

I've heard of this place for years but never went until about a week ago. VERY delicious and nice service. I had the meatball sub and my mom had a slice of their pizza. We enjoyed both and I'll definitely try the other things on their menu! What I like about them is they heat up slices through an oven and not a microwave which is better for you.

Under new ownership!IVP was my favorite pizza in Ebensburg and now in Greensburg. The new experienced owner from the Ebensburg shop ensures consistency and great customer service. If you haven't tried IVP you need to! If you weren't 100% satisfied before you definitely need to give it another go.

I've ordered from IVP about a dozen times and every single time was a different experience.It's so close to being good but conversely they are walking a fine line and could fall into the terrible bucket.With so many other pizza options in Greensburg and surrounding areas .... I would probably skip this place

I would give these clowns a zero rating if I could. HORRIBLE customer service, orders constantly wrong, and delivery is awful.DO NOT PATRONIZE this place, and hopefully it will go out of business, thereby allowing for some other type of business that actually values customers.

I really enjoy Italian Village. Great NY-style pizza. I enjoy the "two-slice-and-a-drink" lunch special. My coworkers and I come often for it. Great value. The slices are huge and delicious. One of my coworkers from NY will pretty much only eat this pizza in the Greensburg-area. She says it's the closest to NY-style pizza she has found in the area.While I love the pizza, one of my favorite menu items was a steak & mushroom calzone that I had not too long ago.I have ordered delivery from Italian Village. For some reason, I didn't enjoy the delivery pizza as much. We had a buffalo chicken pizza, and it was so super greasy and messy. Tasted good, but was difficult to manage. I view Italian Village as a place I'd rather go to, order and eat-in.Nice bar area with a better-than-average beer selection. They now have a fancy, touch-screen Pepsi fountain drink machine (similar to those large, Coke machines; but smaller).

Italian Village Pizza causes me a lot of stress. It causes me stress because I want the experience to be good, but there is an enormous lack of consistency every single time. I'm typing this as I'm eating my IVP fave, the pecan chicken salad. On a good day, I highly recommend this salad. Today, I do not recommend this salad. Today is not a good day.A few weeks ago was the first time I ordered this salad and the first time I'd been to IVP in a long time. It was lunch time and it was busy, as I imagine it is busy every day during lunch. The 3 people who accompanied me ordered gyros and I ordered the pecan chicken salad. There were 3 people working that day. One of the guys working was really slow and almost sluggish and kept dropping boxes on the floor, leaving them on the floor. We waited 45 minutes (for a takeout place!!! 45 minutes!!!!) for our take out and my salad took the longest. I'm not sure why- the only ingredient that actually had to be cooked was the chicken. Side note: all 3 gyros were lamb gyros. Somehow, they gave us one chicken gyro and 2 lamb gyros. That said, it was entirely worth the wait. The lettuce and chicken were both super fresh, the blue cheese was crumbly and delicious, and I cannot rave enough about the wild berry dressing that is recommended for this salad. I loved this salad so much that I thought about it every day until...The following week, I ordered this salad for delivery. I had a pleasant phone experience and was asked if I wanted the wild berry dressing. I said yes, I would very much like the wild berry dressing- it is the best part of the salad. What a great dressing! So my salad was delivered approximately 45 minutes later (average delivery time) and what dressing was inside the bag with my salad? RANCH. Ranch. The ingredients of this salad are: chicken, lettuce, dried cranberries, pecans, and blue cheese. Even if the cooks couldn't read the writing or forgot what dressing I asked for (for which I had been very clear), I literally have no idea what would give anyone the idea that the next best dressing for this salad than the one that is suggested for the salad would be ranch. So I ate the salad without any dressing at all and it was still delicious, but I sincerely mourned the lack of wild berry dressing.I still crave the salad, because (on a good day) it's great. So another week later, which brings us to current day, I ordered this salad again for pick up. They told me it would be about a half hour. One half hour later, my salad was actually ready upon arrival (win!) and I did indeed receive the wild berry dressing. Nothing at this point could bring me down, right? Wrong. This time, the chicken is chewy and the lettuce is white and yellow.I get it. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, I'm probably asking for it. However, I am haunted by the sweet memories of how fantastic this salad was the first time. Against my better judgement, I will probably continue to order this salad and hope and dream that this place will gain some trace of consistency. Steve, the owner, catered lunch for our local National Guard unit and it was outstanding! He smoked four pork butts which were done to perfection. It wasn't overcooked or too soft, and the fat was removed so there were no unappetizing globs of fat. The buns were from Breadworks and the barbecue sauce was Buddha's which are both delicious and high quality. His macaroni salad was different in a very good way. It wasn't the traditional soupy mayo with vinegar or sugar; it actually had subtle heat to it. Definitely more savory than sweet and so good! There were no leftovers and the soldiers went out of their way say how much they enjoyed his food. I look forward to working with him in the future.

STAY AWAY! Employees are incompetent and threatening. I ordered a pizza for pick up. Was told 30 min. I arrive 30 min later and the girl said she forgot to put the order in. I ask how long now. She said 20 min. I go back 20 min later and they were just putting it in the oven. I asked how long. A guy this time says 20 min. I am now upset. I asked why was i told 20 min 20 min ago and the guy with glasses told me to calm down or he will make me leave his store. Really? The manager told him to shut up and then said i will give you 10% off. Wow! A whole $3.00 for wasting my time? Well they can keep the pizza and choke on it. I will make sure everyone i know steers clear of this place! Its a shame. Loved the pizza but HORRIBLE staff. The best part is no one apologized. They made it seem like it was my fault. What a joke of a restaurant!
