Il Tetto: A Rooftop Beer Garden

We went for their Halloween party and it was pretty fun! Pros: loved that it was heated and covered but you still feel kinda "outside". We loved the DJ, he did a wide range and that was appreciated as the old fart millenials at the event. The bartenders were fast and sweet! Our drinks were so yummy and we loved the little Halloween touches on them. Cons: we were starving. So we looked and it said we could order takeout and then bring it back upstairs. Well, that's partially true. You can order from Emporio but not Mezzo which is what we really wanted. The food took forever and honestly could've used some seasoning. My muffuletta was decent (and big!) but the fries were lackluster. And the meatballs were so bland. I imagine this is super fun in the summer as long as you've already eaten elsewhere!

This rooftop beer garden is open year round! We went in the winter and it has a retractable roof, string lights, and heaters to keep everyone comfortable. We thought it was still going to be semi-outside so we came bundled up but were pleasantly surprised when we got there and it was indoor. It is probably fantastic in the summer too!Pretty big drink menu, lots of local beers on tap to choose from and the staff was really knowledgeable about everything as well, even letting us try a few of the beers so we could make sure we picked the perfect one.

The service was great, I mean it wasn't too busy as I went at opening 2pm on Saturday! The freeze drink was really good and had a good flavor of banana! The spot was fantastic with the good blend of indoors and outdoors! The lighting coming from being on the rooftop with the orange and green indoor decor it was a fantastic blend! Food wise make sure you eat before you come here as food won't be served until 6pm! Though you're welcomed to take your drink to the restaurant below

This is a beautiful spot on a nice summer night in Pittsburgh. The cocktails are unique. I ordered the Limongria - pinot grigio, limoncello, blackberry. It was crisp and refreshing. I wish there was a more robust food selection on the rooftop, but I ultimately love this spot and its aesthetic

Fun spot for drinks, bites and sports on the tube! I love that Il Tetto offers a rooftop beer garden that's open all year long, no matter how frigid and cold it is since there's a clear dome for those chilly days in Pittsburgh. I had a fun time here for post-dinner drinks. We visited Il Tetto on a Saturday night and the place was busy. As the night continued, the place got even more busy, with most of the seats and tables being taken. But that was not an issue since this place is more so a bar and everyone was just standing around and hanging out anyway! It's my kind of place. Il Tetto has a long bar with the NFL playoffs on the tube and long, communal tables for gatherings. The busier it gets, the service lacks since the place gets packed. You can only order at the bar with one of the bartenders as this isn't the kind of place where they come to your table. If you want a refill, get it yourself if you can get the bartender's attention on a Saturday night. They actually did a good job handling all of us drunkards with how busy it was. Best deal here is the bucket of beers or hard seltzers. I started with the cocktails and they were all way too sweet. Skip the cocktails here and just stick with beer, which is what they're known for anyway. They do offer a list of bar bites/food items, and we tried the cheese curds with pepper jelly and buffalo chicken dip with tortilla chips. Not too shabby. Il Tetto was a fun place, especially on a Saturday night.

The website is always inconsistent with the menu online. Menu says they have happy hour yet none of the bartenders know about it. Nice atmosphere but not worth the pricing but that doesn't surprise me, even Emporio has high prices for meatballs and fries.

I love that Il Tetto offers the opportunity to visit a rooftop bar in the winter since it's enclosed & stays warm. I loved the wintery decorations & festive lights. Even though we went on a Saturday night, we were able to get seats at the bar. I had a glass of Prosecco to fit the festive mood, and bar service was pretty fast & attentive even though they were pretty busy. They serve bar snacks food, but I didn't try any because we were coming from dinner already. I love Il Tetto, though, and will definitely be back soon!Food: N/ADrinks: BService: BAmbiance: A-

If you're looking for a great rooftop bar, this is your place. There's a retractable roof, plenty of seating, and some fun cocktails, so it's easy to spend a whole afternoon/evening up there. That being said, it gets pretty busy so service isn't great and the wings we ordered tasted like they had been frozen and microwaved. I can't speak for the other menu items, but I'd recommend grabbing food from the restaurant on the first floor instead.

Always out of frose, rude staff. Legit every person from the elevator attendant to the bouncer to the bar tender is rude as hell. Maybe be nice to customers who are paying you. Less than one stars if I could ... don't Come here

The service was not crazy quick but it was good and always accurate. The upstairs with the holiday decorations really brought the ambiance to life and made the drinks taste even better. We didn't try the bar food but the drinks were not only tasty but fairly priced.
