We go here for their excellent Hungarian sausage and cured bacon for bacon roasts, and we've never been disappointed. Be sure to give them some lead time on orders, because everything is made by hand there. We typically order 20-30 lbs and that lasts our family of 4 about 3-6 months.

This is pertaining to deer processing. I wouldn't go to the Hungarian Smokehouse in Carmichaels again if they paid me. I paid an additional $30 to cape my deer for a shoulder mount. They've had my deer since November 4th. I went to pick up today and the head was never frozen. In 18 days, today was my first phone call. Girl at front desk says. You could've picked the head up a day or two after drop off. Im sorry, Im not a mind reader. No one mentioned that at drop off. I never received a phone call so how the hell would I know that? I assumed you freakin morons work in a butcher shop and know that a cape needs frozen. The fact that you damn well know that I am getting a shoulder mount done. But you saw the head off and throw it on a concrete cooler floor for 18 days. No phone call, no text. I assume they were freezing the cape, being i was getting jerky and sausage made. Maybe they threw it in a feezer and want me to pick it all up at once? Nope, 18 days later show up to a $200 bill, a box of meat, a bag of jerky and a spolied deer head. This place is a total clown show!

Not the best BBQ you'll ever eat... but meat cuts, portions, preparation and overall eating experience (flavor, eatability, natural, etc) is very solid. Have made the long drive to get large orders for grad party and shipping out party over a two year - each time it was consistently very good. We had a big ol platter of brisket and pulled pork. Place was clean and folks working there, pleasant. And to followup to my initial statement, definitely not the worst BBQ you'll ever eat. We will go back for thirds!

Bunch of slap d***s talk a good game but had to trim and clean my meat before cooking and have never been to a butcher shop I had to leave a deposit to have meat processed. They are all about the money not the quality

Customer service excellence!I had an appointment to have 2 pigs processed. On my way, my truck broke down. I called to reschedule and much to my surprise the owner drove to meet me, towed my truck to a safe spot so I could wait for a tow, AND took my trailer with the pigs to the Smokehouse! Way above and beyond my expectations. They will always have my meat processing business.

Oh let the accolades fall ever so on this gem of a place. Bill has hit a home run with everything in here. Awesome sausages, jerky, butchering, and fresh meat. Then there is the menu of sandwiches. Oy! This is a gem hidden away from the road. Take my advice and go. If you really want a treasure here, try the lady fingers too.
