I was quite a big fan of the gyros this place serves. Clearly, they make their food with some pretty high quality ingredients. Really fresh and tasty. The prices are also pretty reasonable. Okay menu variety for a food truck. I just tried their gyro with homemade tzatziki. The gyro was definitely well made. Portion was very adequate. The meat was well prepared and well seasoned. Not too spicy, but still flavorful. Pita was relatively average. The tomatoes and vegetables were very fresh and crisp, which I enjoyed. The tzatziki sauce was also so well made. It was super creamy and had an incredible, fresh flavor. Little bits of cucumber. So refreshing, and perfectly compliments the meat. Not too fatty. Great, and they gave you 2 small containers for them, which is a great deal. Clearly homemade. All in all, definitely liked this spot. Homemade, delicious meals with lots of healthy food. I definitely love this spot.

Hummus Pittsburgh food truck came to my workplace. Arrived late. Only two people were working on the truck. A third person called off ill. As a result, they couldn't dedicate one person to taking orders. Little bit of chaos. As seen by the pictures, there were a variety of meat (chicken & lamb) and meatless options. Our meals were hot and tasty. Wished for more pita with the generous serving of hummus.I am sure service would have been faster with a third person. I am looking forward to experiencing Hummus Pittsburgh again soon.

Tried out this place during VegFest (vegan festival) in one of their food trucks. Their menu is usually pretty expansive but given that this was a vegan festival, the food was limited to those that are vegan. We ordered a falafel sandwich and french fries. The french fries were not the best and I don't think they gave ketchup either which made it a little bit bland. On the other hand, the falafel sandwich was pretty good, the falafel was super crisp on the outside and full of soft chickpeas/beans on the inside.Overall, it's an okay eat for a food festival, would opt for other things if back at VegFest again. The one thing I wasn't super keen on was that they kept saying if you didn't hear your number on the first call-out, they will charge you $5 just so you can get your food. Not sure if they were kidding or not, but didn't think that was a fair ask.

I stopped by here a couple of Thursdays ago with my wife for dinner. We have food trucks that come to our neighborhood and on this particular day it happened to be the Hummus PGH truck. Since it's a food truck there isn't much to say about it other than it was manned by two workers. Their menu also consists of many things besides hummus like gyro and chicken. For dinner on this day my wife and decided to split an order of the baba gannouj and then I went for the gyro sandwich with fries while my wife went for the chicken sandwich with fries. After we had ordered it took between 30-40 minutes to get our food during which time there was both a steady stream of people ordering as well as others getting their previously ordered food. Once we had our food we headed home to eat it. I first dug into the gyro and it was quite good. The gyro meat was juicy and flavorful and I loved the tzatziki sauce that was on it as well. There was also plenty of it and by the time I had finished eating it and the fries, I was pretty full. Speaking of the fries, they were a thinner variety (think McDonalds) and very crispy on the outside and also nicely seasoned. I was also able to try a piece of my wife's chicken and it had clearly been marinated in something and so was juicy and also had a great flavor. After all of that was done I went to try the baba gannouj and was incredibly disappointed that we only got 1 pita with it. I mean, it was a decent sized container of it. In any case, the baba gannouj ended up being really going as it was creamy and had that slightly smoky taste which I love. As expected, we quickly ran out of pita to eat it with, even with large amounts on the pita, and had to switch to some crackers we had around which wasn't a huge deal. However, if we weren't at home, it would have been a bigger deal. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. Both my wife and I really enjoyed everything that we ate, i just wish that they wouldn't have been as stingy with that pita!

Excellent food truck! Visited Hummus Pittsburgh outside of Biddles Escape this past Wednesday. I ordered the gyro sandwich and my hubby the falafel sandwich. They were much larger than I anticipated and they came with fries. My picture doesn't do it justice. There was a good portion of fries. The gyro was SO good! I tried some of the falafel and it tasted more like indian spices. Different but a good different. Definitely enough food for dinner. I can't wait to try something else on their menu. Will be looking out for their location in the future.

I finally tried the food, and it was incredible. I also did a special advanced order of Moutabel, and it was so delicious, and it reminded me of my trip to Jordan . . . fantabulous!! The Falafel Wrap was delicious also. Highly recommend . . . Big Cheers!!

We've been having different food trucks visit our neighborhood on Tuesday nights recently and it's been wonderful overall. I was looking forward to Hummus in particular as I love Mediterranean and vegetarian food. They were slammed but still provided delicious food and presentation. Their falafels were delicious (and not dry) with a nice crunch. They even threw in a few dolmades for free for my wait! Good people making good food! Looking forward to their next visit.

Wasn't crazy about this place yesterday but would definitely give them another chance. The guy running the truck was working solo, he really could have used some help. I waited about 15 minutes after the time I was told for a simple salad to be ready. They need a better way to get people their food. The chicken on the salad I had was really good but the rest of it was pretty blah.

We had this truck booked for the past 3 years in our neighborhood and every year they've canceled on us within an hour of when they were supposed to arrive with the same excuse (verbatim) every year. Extremely unprofessional and disappointing. We'll not be inviting back again.

Maybe the trick is eating at the truck rather than the storefront. Spinach pie had doughy underdone bread and had a tablespoon, if that, of filling. The Baba was awful! literally in a pool of oil with no other flavor, Into the trash it also went. $16 and I am still hungry. With Jolinas, Pitaland and Alladinn's all close by and at a better price point too, they won't see me again.
