This was my first time trying this new place on campus. I was very hungry after a long day. I went there at 4:00 PM the place wasn't crowded but it wasn't empty as well. I ordered Double cheese Burger with drink and fries - $9 Ordering experience and the staff: The staff are friendly. My only thing is I hope the people working with food would wear a mask or something. They are talking and laughing while flipping burgers which is not nice and not sanitary. The burger: Below average. It has so much grease in it. I feel like I ate two days worth of recommended fat value in one burger. The beef is OK not the best. The fries: It's the worst fries I've ever tried in my life. It's not crispy what so ever. It's dripping oil. I couldn't finish it. The drink: I ordered a coke with no ice. It very diluted. But it wasn't that bad. I don't recommend it. There are tons of better burger places in town.

This place is alright, I always enjoy tailpipes gourmet burgers downtown and wanted to try Hugh Baby's BBQ & Burger Shop to see if I could get a good burger on this side of town. It has potential but isn't there yet. It has the selling point of serving fresh meat cook fresh when ordered and the fries are ehhh. The burger was a bit greasy but nothing unexpected or terrible, but lacked in size for the price. Nevertheless I'd have to say I paid $10 for a McDonalds Mcdouble and a small fry.

This is my third visit to the newly opened restaurant in the still-uncompleted Evansdale Crossing building. Each time I've had a different sandwich: two barbecue and one cheeseburger. As much as I want to like this place, I just can't. If you're considering pulling off the main road to eat on the WVU campus, don't. The food is okay. It seems like it has potential but I just don't like it. The barbecue can be dry, like today's brisket was. At $4.50, I'm trying to decide if I had a good deal, but I'm still hungry. Would I have purchased two for $9.00? I don't think so. The portions are just wrong. Too many fries. Also, if you don't mind a half-pound of grease, then the cheeseburger is your friend. Small friend.Ultimately it's another enterprise that takes advantage of university meal plan lock-ins and other college students who don't have enough life experience to recognize that better food can be had for less elsewhere.

Had a BBQ pork sandwich for dinner. After a long wait, got my food. It was basically the same as at the co-owned Martin's BBQ. It was OK but nothing to entice me back. There are other, better, BBQ restaurants in town.

Not the best place in the world, but certainly up there. I think it can be pricy for the amount of food you get. I'm a student and it's included in our meal plan so I can't complain about the price. Fries are good, especially when they're fresh. The grease level is high, but you don't typically go to a burger/BBQ shop to eat healthy. Shakes are great, staff is great, overall it's a great experience

Their cheeseburgers are good but pretty greasy. Wouldn't recommend eating there every day, Would kill your cholesterol. fries are hit n miss. some days they are perfect. others not so much. just depends on who makes them I figure. The pulled pork is pretty good. I eat there at least two times a week going between cheeseburger and pulled pork.
