Howl at the Moon Pittsburgh

Came here on the weekend during emo night and there was a $5 charge. The live music was amazing, it was nonstop pianos and singing popular songs and the performers were very engaging. The bar staff were kind and were easy to flag down. They had Jell-O shots as well which was nice. I definitely suggest coming on the weekend if you like live music!

Piano bar with live music! They take requests and always play bangers. There is usually a $5 of $10 cover on weekends which sucks.Also it is HOT in here. Zero ventilation.Fun for all ages.

Very fun Saturday night! The music was great and very diverse. It was great how the band really got the crowd into the music and most people were up on their feet dancing. $5 cover charge, but compared to other bars in the area this isn't unreasonable. All ages in the crowd, and it was clear that the venue was used to hosting parties (a going away party and a 21st bday in our case) as they had tabled reserved. Drinks were pretty standard and nothing too special. If you are sitting at a table though, you will have a waitress. Ours was very nice, but forgot our drinks one time. She realized ~30 min later and came back with our drinks as well as another round on the house. All in all a great way to start off a Saturday night.

I used to go to Howl a lot when I was in college, so I was excited to come back as an adult & find that it was just as fun as I remembered! I love the live music, and the songs are almost all fun singalongs. The space wasn't too crowded - plenty of bar seating as well as room on the dance floor to dance. I wish there wasn't a cover, though, because that decreases the frequency with which I want to go. Every so often, though, it's a great group spot to visit! I also know they do private parties with food and drink specials. I didn't try any food while there on this visit (we had come from dinner already), and I only had a high noon so it's hard to judge their drinks based on that. Didn't try the food but the atmosphere is perfect for a good time in Pittsburgh. The service couldn't have been better. Wish we could have stayed for the dueling pianos.

Awesome place to have a party, drink and dance. Always have so much fun here!!! And the drinks are super fun and themed. The have super strong specialty cocktails like "Fruit Roll Up" and "Malibu Barbie". They have fun shots and party buckets for everyone to share and the staff are very attentive. The service is impressive for how packed it gets in there. I would definitely recommend going early so that you can get somewhere to sit. They have live music every night and there is room to dance and have fun with friends. Love this place!!

Very disappointed Bartender seemed enthusiastic but was really an ass. But hey. He tried to sell their bS drink. But heck not to be a snob. But.... Guy orders a whiskey neat. Give it to him in a glass. Not plastic. Lol. But the real killer is when you Order a Guinness and he pours it for you in less then 30 seconds. When I said to him. Your killing me. And he asks why. I said that is not how you pour a Guinness. He said yes it is. Goes to show you. Some people are just not really bartenders. But servers just serving drinks. Oh well. Music was good. One star.

I can't say enough good things about my bachelorette party at Howl at the Moon. The band was fantastic and kept people up and dancing, service and drinks were great. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to have a great time.

I needed something to do after weeks of being quarantined and then overworked!Howl at the Moon is always a great place to go listen to some really good live music with dueling pianos and extremely gifted , creative, and talented performers! I even met some new people I can now call friends. The atmosphere is always happy, and the servers are really nice. All of the servers I've had have always been accommodating, pleasant and outgoing and I like that. I ordered a Moscow Mule and, as usual, it was delicous. I then, along with my new friends, ordered a Green Tea Shot and it was delicous!!!! I loved it. I haven't had food here because I don't think they accommodated Vegans, but that's OK because you can order food and have it delivered to the bar!!!! Awesomenesssssss! I did just that and was able to have my friends, food and great music!!!!!

Fun atmosphere. Great people & conversation. Drinks were very good. Very kind patrons.
