Hot Dog House

Very cozy atmosphere. I love a good mom and pop shop and this is definitely a good one. Food came out quickly and was very tasteful. I would recommend the cheese and bacon fires. Staff was super sweet! Definitely check this place out

I've stopped here a few times while going to bellefonte near lunch time. their hotdogs are ok. not brililant, but ok. service has been ok. french fries are ok. I think I'm tired of stopping and hoping that they will be better or I will find out why people eat here (e.g., there si another thing that everyone knows they are better at). really 2.5 stars. not 3, not really 2.

Ordered scrambled eggs with cheese. How can you mess that up? By using cheese that doesn't melt -- like AT ALL, EVER! I was picking it out of my teeth for hours. It's 1 star because the coffee was hot and there's good parking off the main road (in back).

I have been eating these hotdogs as long as I can remember, (over forty years) even way back at there original location, anyway I no longer live in the area but try to stop by every chance I get when back visiting the area. The Texas hotdog is the best, always get two or three and fries. Sometimes I even fit a container of the sauce to take home and share with others and of course talk up how good the dogs are.

Edit: still not great Terrible service. I have been there multiple times because the location is so close to my house. Every time I go in the cook counter person looks disjointed that he has to stop watching tv and talk to a customer. GO to Mr hot dog on the other side of bellefonte! Really nice people there

Hot dogs are great! Best omelets ever! Love the french fries with hot sauce and blue cheese dressing! Great atmosphere!

Good food for a good price. Hot dogs are delicious. Closes early though (at 7pm) so it's hard to make it there sometimes. This was my third attempt, and they were finally open! Atmosphere is very rustic, but the staff seem very courteous and efficient.

Stopped by here today and didn't realize they didn't take debit card. Ordered 2 of the best hot dogs I've ever had and the fella working took the $3.48 plus a worn Buffalo Nickel as payment. Made my day and highly recommended there hot dogs

I generally go to Mr. Hot Dog instead. Got burned out through the years by indifferent service, and also by people smoking in the restaurant. (Forgot how disgusting that truly is.) The hot dogs were always good, parking was sometimes a challenge. I always felt like I was inconveniencing the counter person by placing an order. Was always clean though, and very affordable.
