Driving back to Washington, D.C. for a nearby retreat, we stopped at for lunch Horn O Plenty, a restaurant and market inside a quaint wooden building with an outdoor patio. Here's our experience.1) Food: Being a "freshraunt," the menu includes better-for-you options, salads, and even gluten-free options. I enjoyed the bowl of cream of mushroom soup, which comes with two pieces of buttered bread. (Ask for jam for the bread.) Despite being a bowl, it's not super filling so the cheeses potatoes (beer cheese comes on top of the potatoes) was a perfect compliment. My seven-year-old daughter appreciated the kids menu and enjoyed the grilled cheese. 2) Drinks: They have handmade sodas, coffee drinks, and more. If you have a sweet tooth, order the vanilla bean iced coffee. 3) Space: It's well decorated, quaint, and the little market has some gems in it- maple syrup, pickled garlic scapes, "zing butter," and more.4) Service: It's friendly, but slow. The restaurant had a healthy flow, but wasn't packed and it took a long time for us to get our order.

We were passing through on the way back home. Great option for stopping and grabbing a nice bite to eat. Everything was fresh and good flavors. Very rustic inside. The house made sodas are delicious. Chicken salad was fresh. I loved the butternut squash sandwich. Good service.

Very cute farm to table restaurant, great for brunch. A friend and I came here to eat after doing a run a few miles away. It's inside of an old house with a ton of flowers and produce growing in the back yard. Very quaint but lush with greenery. Staff greeted and seated us as soon as we walked in. We chose to sit on the enclosed patio so we could look outside. My friend ordered the eggs benedict with a side of roasted vegetables, and I ordered the bean burger with a side of kim chi. Everything came out at a good speed and was very delicious. Looking at some plates around us, I would definitely want to come back and try some more items! Very fresh. Loose leaf teas are great. Beautiful place to be!

We visit Bedford a few times a year and have overlooked this gem. We chose Horn O plenty thanks to good Yelp reviews. What a find! We had a late lunch. My wife had the pulled pork sandwich and I the Will's Mountain Club. Both were excellently prepared and presented. The homemade soft drinks are wonderful. We will certainly add Horn O Plenty to our Bedford visits.

We come to Bedford at least once a year and ALWAYS want Horn O Plenty to be a dinner stop! We've had the great pleasure of watching this place grow & evolve. Consistently the food is tremendous, service great- wonderful atmosphere! It's beautiful, historic, delicious & off the beaten path. I had the lamb flatbread, we had a cheesy breadstick appetizer- also at our table we had the Cubano Zing pizza and we highly recommend the bread pudding. It's byob, with no pesky corkage fees (thank you!) It is cooked to order food, so plan to spend time soaking up the atmosphere and savor the meal!

A friend and I stopped for lunch after visiting the nearby coverlet museum. The space is bright and open and the food was excellent. I had the mushroom soup, which was very flavorful, and my friend ordered the dip appetizer. The spinach dip was a bit too herby, but the beer cheese was great! We both ordered the club, which came on fresh bread and with a side of a wonderful cole slaw. Everything was fresh, filling, and flavorful. Would gladly return if I'm in the area again!

The muni choices looked interesting. My wife and I shared the antipasto salad and a chicken ranch bacon pizza. Everything was perfect! They split the salad into two plates without asking. The pizza dough is excellent and baked nicely in their wood fired oven. Set in what appears to be a very old home the ambiance is a nice rustic. I definitely recommend this place to anyone in the area.

Mushroom heaven! If you love mushrooms, the drunken mushroom on homemade sourdough is the best sandwich I've ever had! The mushroom soup is silky shroom deliciousness. We also tried the lamb flatbread with their simple, so fresh slaw and absolutely loved that too. True farm to table, simple, well-prepared ingredients with something for everyone make this a must stop between Northeast Ohio and Philly.
