Place is an absolute shit hole on the inside. Given the location with the exterior and surrounding buildings it's not a surprise. Each time I've went inside the people always seemed annoyed. But oh my god is that chicken bomb.They deep fry the whole check wing so the flat and drum are attached. It's very greasy so if you got a sensitive stomach be careful. They then load it with a homemade dry ranch seasoning that makes this even betterNow. It's 3/5 because 1.) I don't like fried chicken much to begin with. Only when I really want to hate myself I want it and this is the spot for it2.) Service and inside both shitI would really recommend this spot but def a different location, all taste the same

Excellent gizzard, shrimp, and catfish. Sides are good, too. My only criticism is they can get a little heavy with the seasoning/salt. But AWESOME otherwise.

I was introduced to Hook Fish & Chicken by my daughter, and it's been good every time we've ordered. I'm a fan of fried catfish and okra and it's pretty darn good eating considering we're north of the Mason Dixon line. I'm someone who tends to only eat certain foods at certain places but it's pretty good here, and the prices are comparable to what you'd pay at establishments that serve the same things. My usual go to is the 3 piece fried catfish and fried okra (fries come automatically), along with a cup of cole slaw. My appetite is usually big anyways, but there are times when I have leftovers due to the amount of food. It's nothing fancy, satisfying enough for me when I have a taste for fried food, and that's what matters.

Best chicken in town! I come here just about every week. Every time I have family over, they want to come here to get food. From the chicken, to the fish, to the fries, it's all incredible. The secret is their seasoning. If you've been driving by, wondering if you should get it; this is your sign to go get it. 100% recommended.

Walked in then right back out...This place is disgusting. The parking lot lights are turned off (I guess to save money on electricity), the guys at the counter were filthy and when I asked about the price of 3 chicken tenders being almost $12, they just laughed at me. Nope, I'll never come back.

I love getting food from this place, it's always so good. Tonight i was so disappointed. I called twice around 10 pm, no answer i was thinking maybe the number on the website wasn't updated because there was no voicemail it just kept ringing. So at 1015 i drove over there from PENN HILLS about a 20 min drive only to find out someone closed 40 mins early. I even took a picture of the times on the door that states they are open till 11pm. I'm very upset that they have business hours set but don't even follow them. There wasn't a sign saying someone had to leave due to emergency or anything like that. They simply locked the doors and didn't answer phone calls after 10. If that is the case change your damn hours because it's very rude to lead people to think you're open.

All my food (wings, French fries, hush puppies) all tasted the same. It's like they fried it all together or in the same old oil.

The inside is small and not extremely clean, but the chicken is quite literally my favorite chicken. Every time I go I get the chicken strips and it has never disappointed me. I love every bite, helpful hint, order take out because there is no seating to eat in the restaurant!

Bad!!! These people won't even answer the phone, takes sooo long for the food, and they close way before they are supposed to closeThis is a business I don't care if you want to close up early because you want to get home to your familyBecause they aren't gonna help you pay your bills. Do Better

There food is always delicious and I've never had a problem with service. Definitely coming back
