Homestead Capri Pizza

The food here wasn't bad, but my experience here was very strange! I came here only because of its proximity to the Carnegie music hall. When I came in, I was given a strange look and I asked if they were open for serving food (they seem to be mainly a takeout establishment, but there is a bar). They said yes. I sat down. Waiting ... I ask if I can order and I'm told I can order on the other side of the restaurant. I ordered my food, and meanwhile, it is so cold inside (and yes it was cold outside, but I needed to keep my jacket on to stay warm). About halfway through my time here, music was put on a speaker and it was blasting loud. Then, a handful of songs later, two people left the bar area, and the music just stopped. All in all, the food was fine for a one time stop (and probably is perfect as takeout or delivery), but I think there are other restaurants in the area and I will find them next time! ;-)

Stopped into Capri Pizza today. It's been around for decades and my family would always order it growing up since the owners are Italian. I haven't lived in Pittsburgh for many years but home visiting and stopped by. Still the same great tasting pizza as I remember it. Since I don't eat diary, they were able to make me a pizza without the cheese. The crust was still crispy when I got home. Besides being crispy, it was was thin, not doughy, and full of flavor, done just right. The sauce had a great taste to it, was thick and not sweet tasting from sugars. Sauce tasted fresh. Overall it's a great place, what establishment is around for 30 + years that's bad? Way too many options these days.

Always put out great food. Cheese Steaks, Pizza, WINGS, all must try. Sweet and Spicy Sauce is great on everything. Nice staff and easy to pickup.

I judge a pizza joint by their cheese pizza and their pepperoni. While grabbing a brew at Voodoo, my friends and I were feeling a bit hungry. Thankfully a menu was available and Capri pizza was just across the street. We ordered a small cheese pizza to pick up. I was pleasantly surprised! The cheese was not greasy, the sauce was flavorful, and the dough was chewy yet crunchy... what more could you ask for? We were really impressed with the quality cheesy pizza from Capri.Next time we'll try the pepperoni and post an update. I see yummy pizza in our future. If you're grabbing a pint a Voodoo and feel a rumbly in your tumbly, order something cheesy at Capri Pizza in Homestead.

The food is excellent and the staff is wonderful! Once I had to send a dish back because the new person taking my order got it wrong and the manager was so great about correcting the situation! I'll order here above any place else in my area!

I called on Saturday around 6:30pm to order hot wings & an appetizer. I gave my address & they said it would take about 40 minutes. An hour and a half passed and I called back to find out where my order was. The girl on the phone said that the delivery guys were all out and that if I didn't get anything in 10 minutes to call back. After about 20 minutes I called back now about 2 hours since I ordered and still no food. The girl on the phone transferred me to someone else to figure it out. They said they called me to say that the appetizer I ordered was out and the person that answered the phone said they didn't order anything. After trying to explain that I had never received a call we realized that because I live in an apartment the phone number with my address was someone that previously lived there. I would assume that if when they called and the person said they didn't order they would've realized this and tried to get back in contact with me. So I gave them my correct phone number and the employee was going to call me back about what to do. When I received a call back they were going to give me another appetizer instead.. at this point it had been over 2 hours and 3 phone calls later and they weren't even offering to comp my meal. At this point I just told them to cancel the order completely. The employees and management were not accommodating at all and overall I was extremely disappointed with the customer service.

I can now say with confidence that I found the worst Gyro in Pittsburgh. The meat isn't even fresh cut, rather commercially formed strips that don't have any flavor.

Great wings after our Homestead brewery tour. Hit the breweries then grabbed a Growler and order of Capri wings to go for the games last week. Perfect afternoon

Not a good experience. My wings were just ok. Hard to get the butter garlic on the wings after they were cold. Also ordered a large bacon and cheese fries. Those came burned and swimming in grease. Soggy and tasteless. Never again!
