Hollywood Casino at The Meadows

Had a good time. Tables were great slots are the typical slots not exciting. Disappointed the coffee shop closes at 6pm which is crazy!!! Otherwise not a bad casino. Dealers were helpful

I stopped by recently with my girlfriend.I've been here several times over the years and it's always the same tbh. The drinks are mediocre and the food is too. The machines are super tight and the staff isn't the friendliest or helpful.The entrance and exit has changed somewhat over the years and it's a bit confusing now.I like the place in general, but I don't think I've ever won a single dollar here and I've definitely spend the money to win.I'll stop by again in the future at some point if I am in the area, but tbh there are better casinos not much further away. RACES - August 17th 2024 I haven been to the races for a very long time and everything has changed, it seems to have changed for the good ! The grandstand looks great and I love the sports book. The pub snack shop is wonderful !! Highly recommend for a nice afternoon with family or friends.

Incredibly disappointing visit, in fact I might never return unless I read of significant changes. I've been coming to The Meadows since the 80s to watch the races, learning how to bet from my grandad. Then I remember the big heated tents when slots & table games were legalized. The food & service used to be the best. Pre-covid era, my husband & I used to drive here just for the buffet & sometimes not even gamble. The Eatery is zero match; slow workers, long lines & after waiting well over 10 minutes, my ~$8 fries never came up so I cut my losses & just left. The slots rarely hit even enough to keep playing, but I would consider sitting longer to keep trying my luck if it was possible to get a drink; alas a server is never found. My last visit was Fri 11/29 to see the "free" Amish Outlaws show. Just charge for tickets & move it to a bigger venue, please!!! $25 per person to reserve a table...but no drink service? So terribly disappointing. The bar experience was the same whether or not you paid...push your way through the tables that are absolutely crammed together with chairs, let alone full-sized adults sitting in them, through throngs of people crowded 3 rows deep to get to the bar. Then you aren't allowed to order more than 2 drinks per person. No one wants to do that more than once. The bartender was nice but drinks were made wrong 3 separate times, after 3 separate trips to the bar in the fashion previously described. There was no security to be found & and I'm fairly sure for the size of the area, which was roped off to keep out those that didn't pay the rip-off reservation fee, there were too many people per square foot. With a band that sells out most venues is there not a larger space you should have used? Did I mention you roped off a very small & packed space? You and the patrons are lucky there was no emergency, this must be a safety hazard. Why 2-stars & not just one... parking is actually free. Please do better, you have such a beautiful space & long, rich history. Don't fall victim to modern day mediocrity.

Visited here in April. Absolutely terrible food at the food court ("The Eatery") and overpriced. Had the General Tso chicken and it was awful. Not spicy at all and just tasted salty. Long wait to get food which should not be the case for a food court.On the flip side we were there to see The Alt Rocks perform at the H-Lounge. That is a nice place to watch a band. Drinks also were very reasonably priced and good.If going here I would recommend making a reservation at an actual restaurant there or eating beforehand somewhere else.

We visit this area a couple of times a year and usually make a quick gambling stop. We have only done slots here so can't comment on the table games, but I'd say these are some of the tightest stingiest slots I've been to. Not griping over failing to hit big, but I've done 30 pulls and not even a cherry. You know, you need to get a few small wins to make it fun and keep it going for a while. It's a very attractive casino, there are cocktail waitresses on the floor, and half the casino is smoker friendly. Unfortunately neither of the lounges are included in that. There is a nice high limit slot lounge with a lot of machines ranging up to $100. The ATM is right at the entrance!I believe this is actually a "racino" but I just come for the slots. I'll be back!

We went to watch the steeler game at the Sportsbook and get some bar food and drinks during the game. We sat at a table and waited for a server. Nobody came to our table so I walked up to the bar and got our drinks. The bartender said there are servers for the tables to order food. I said okay and sat back down. After about 10 minutes waiting, I walked back over to the bar and asked for menus. I got them and we sat at our table waiting for a server. After almost 10 more minutes, I went back to the bar to put in a food order. The bartender said they can't take food orders for the tables. I said the problem is there's no server waiting on us. I got our drinks and our menus myself. He refused to put in my order. We waited another couple minutes until til a server came by. After we placed our order, that was the only time she came to our table. We had another person get us another drink once our food came (ironically put on our bar tab because the bartenders said we already got beer there-but couldn't order the food through them??) There were plenty of workers standing around and the crowd was light. The server wasn't even moving with a hustle as if she were busy. If that would have been the case, I would've felt bad for her because I used to work in the service industry. She spent more time standing at her POS system than anything else. Fortunately the food was good, but they definitely need to up their service game.

Had a slot machine con trio fall on my hand & lap, bruised me all up, lady next to me said, it just fell on another man before you sat down, it was very heavy door on this slot machine, gave 25 in free play, what a joke, got food poisoning at the sports book 34 dollar black Angus, had diarrhea four straight hours, could not leave, they didn't do anything, , I had a security guard that worked there, said he knew I was sick, said his dad & girlfriend got sick there also, he told me to sue them, it's bad enough the machines aren't hitting, but when should a slot machine door fall open on your hand and leg. They don't do anything

All was well. Played games. Had dinner At end of night ordered old fashion w makers. They apparently put club soda in it... wtf. For the $$ I spent its simple drink. Bourbon bitters simple syrup cherry orange slice. WTF......
