Hoagie Shop

I stopped by the Hoagie Shop before going to a game at Butler High School. I love trying independent, non-chain restaurants. I had the Regular, which was an Italian. For me it was just ok. The bread is soft. I am more of a toasted sub guy. Look this wasn't bad. I just didn't love it like I have other sub shops. Service was good and I liked the old school feel.

I was in town for a family service. You have to stop at the Hoagy Shop for a sandwich while in town.I ordered a cheesesteak sandwich, with just cheese and onions. Now, even though this is Pennsylvania and home to the cheesesteak don't expect that Philly cheesesteak style here. And it's not a bad thing!The bread is soft and chewy. On the sandwich is two whole cut steaks that are very well seasoned and tender. The cheese and the grilled onions are a great compliment to a delicious sandwich!I ordered some onion rings and counted 6 in the bag. A shame.

Good food and a good value. Fries are always well done and on point. Subs are all made fresh and staff is great! I like to order online and pick up instead of waiting. Dinning area is small.

The meat, cheese, and veggies were great, but I like a roll with a little more crunch. Parking was easy. Service was good. With a crustier roll, at least 4 stars

For the first 33 years of my life, I'd always go with a regular no tomatoes but then i found the smothered steak and it's so delicious!! Also a big fan of the fried mushrooms! This place is great every time you go and the staff is friendly. There is sometimes a wait because they get very busy around lunch time but it's worth it! 10/10 would recommend!

I attempted to get food from here for the first time today, and I can say with absolute certainty that I will not try again. I called the shop around 3:20 to place a takeout order and had the displeasure of speaking to an extremely rude woman. Employee: "The Hoagie Shop."Me: "Hi, I'd like to place a takeout order."Employee: HUGE, audible sigh. "FINE. What do you want?" I'm sorry, did I bother you or something by asking you to do your job? The last time I checked, you work at a food place and I was attempting to order food from you. This woman literally made it sound like simply saying that I wanted to do a takeout order made her miserable and ruined her whole night. I've never done this before, but I responded "You know what, nevermind. Thanks." And hung up the phone. If you're going to treat me that rudely, I refuse to patronize your shop. You don't deserve me as a paying customer.

I recently tried for the first time and will go back. There are better hoagies, but worse also. The price is right and nice people as well

Clean, independent hoagie shop. It was my first time here and I had the Chicken Bacon ranch hoagie.Very tasty hoagie albeit a bit messy. But to be expected with the ranch sauce. I took it to go and made the mistake of not grabbing napkins.Hoagie was a bit too soft and could have used a few minutes in an oven.I would definitely try again when in the area

Been coming to the hoagie shop for over 30 years. When did they stop using steak sauce on their steak hoagies? Today it came out with a NASTY "homemade" sauce that was marinara sauce like one would get on a meatball hoagie. The fish hoagie we ordered came out with tomato on it even though we were specifically asked what we would like on it, and being we both hate tomato, did NOT order the fish hoagie with tomato. Came to find out later today the shop has changed owners and they have changed menu. Not going back.

Stopped in today for a quick bite. Ordered a smothered steak, which was terrific. The bread was fresh, meat portion was generous, flavor was on point and staff was quite friendly. Will definitely stop back in the future.
