We have stayed in many B&B's and this was by far our best experience.Heslet House is a beaufully preseved gem in the Ambridge Historic District. The guest rooms were very cleanbeautifully appointed with period furniture and a super comfy bed. Breakfast was a multicourse daily feast prepared by Dennis (best eggs!) and Rosemary from locally sourced foods and fresh from the oven muffins baked daily by Rosemary. Dennis and Rosemary join us daily for breakfast where we had lively conversation on an arrange of topics, best being Dennis's extensive knowledge of historic Ambridge and the Harmony Society. The best part of our stay was meeting Dennis and Rosemary. They have created an environment that made us feel as if we were staying with family.Thank you Dennis and Rosemary we are already planning our next visit!

There is so much to say about Dennis, Rosemary and the Heslet House! I chose THH in the middle of the night back in April in a panic haha and they remembered me calling them haha. I chose THH because I honestly hate hotels. I prefer something more quaint, unique, and homey. I adore I ts antique, farm-like, pioneeristic (I'm making up a word lol) ambiance. It's been wonderfully preserved.I never saw it during the day until we arrived and my oh my were we pleasantly surprised! My new husband and I spent our first weekend together there and what an awesome experience we had. We got more than we could've ever hoped for. We were the only couple there which made it extra special. It was like we were visiting old friends.About the Leppic's: Dennis and Rosemary are so kind, respectful, interesting, sweet and funny. We had a great time getting to know them. They are excellent cooks and they will feed you until you're ready to roll out of the house haha.THH is just lovely, and tastefully decorated. The Lapic's are some of the most friendly and hospitable couple I've ever met. If you need a weekend getaway stay here! We just live in Pittsburgh and felt like tourists. It was super fun. If you are a history buff or interested in restoration, you will be delighted with a stay at Heslet House in Ambridge, adjacent to historic Old Economy Village. Dennis and Rose Mary have created a beautiful B&B that combines authentic 1800s architecture and decor with modern amenities. The breakfasts are delicious. The bedding and linens are pristine and the beds are comfortable. The hosts are warm, welcoming and offer a wealth of information. The lovely town of Sewickley is just down the road and worth an afternoon of strolling. Worth a side trip if you are visiting anywhere in the Pittsburgh area.

The Heslet House is absolutely beautiful. The charm of the historic building is apparent as soon as you are inside. The Lapics have done an amazing job restoring this old Harmonist home; it even looks right onto Old Economy Village! Their hospitality truly makes you feel like you are at home there, the food is delicious, and you cannot go wrong with any of the bedroom choices. I absolutely recommend the Heslet House.

The Heslet House is a must stay for anyone who visits Old Economy in Ambridge to get the full benefit of the historic town. As a Harmony Society descendant I am in awe of the hard work and care in which Dennis and Rosemary have preserved the historic Harmonist era home. They served delicious and beautifully plated full breakfasts that included homemade jam made from their grape vines. The rooms are beautifully appointed with antiques appropriate to the log home's historic past while also providing modern amenities you would expect from a boutique hotel. For me the two nights stay at Heslet House was a highlight of my journey to discover the lives of my Harmonist ancestors.
