Herb Brittner's Smokehouse

An excellent place for kielbasa, bacon, ham, beef sticks, steaks and many other locally produced meats and other staples. The staff is friendly and anxious to help find whatever you're looking for. I stocked up on all things smoked as well as a couple fresh Delmonico steaks and Amish butter. I thought it was very interesting that they also have a radiator shop!

There are some unique places that I just can't miss when visiting the family and this is one of them. I enjoy visiting this place because everything is smoked and vacuum sealed for convenience and longevity which is a major plus for most folks. I have to drive 1,000 miles to get back home or hop on a plane and not having stinky cheese in my overhead compartment bag is a major plus. My favorite item to stock up on is the jerky. (Insert Homer Simpson drool imagery here.) Their smoked cheeses are amazing and I'd suggest the Gouda and Provolone for everyday items like sandwiches and meat trays. My dogs are big fans of their smoked ham hocks and devour it so quickly I almost lose a finger when prying away the bone. I wish I had more room in my purse for their peppered beef and if they offered a cheese and meat stick combo, I'd grab them up in a heartbeat.

This is the best dish, or use for an appetizer.Love their meats. I travel from California and take back a full cooler. The beef tenderloin is tender, their smoked bone in pork chop carmflizes in the skillet nicely

Brittner's is THE BEST smoke house in the greater Pittsburgh area. Close to Seneca Valley high school, this place is worth the drive. Their beef jerky is incredible. It's tough, hearty and the flavor is so satisfying. The HAM is literally the best ham I have ever had in life. It is lean, perfectly smoked, great flavor and easy to cook. No prep or recipe needed, pop it in the oven, add pineapple if that's your thing and devour!!

If you haven't made the smoked meat exodus to Zelienople, or to their new, easy to get to location off of route 19 in Cranberry at the Cran-Mar Plaza, I'm just going to assume you don't want your taste buds to be happy. Everything is great. EVERYTHING. From the standard beef sticks and jerky to their black nugget steaks and newer smoked cheeses (!!!), there is something for everyone. Like bacon? They have thick cut in plain, pepper, and garlic (!!!) varieties! You will not find bacon like this is any other store. Hunter? They can process your deer into tasty venison morsels. I have recently became a vegetarian and their smoked meats are the only thing I long for durning those smoked meat cravings. Good thing I can still enjoy the cheeses!I suggest you see what your mouth has been missing and make the smoked meat exodus yourself!

Just as Amanda B said in the other review... Brittners is outstanding. Everything. I personally make the trip to get the beef stick. It is blue ribbon perfect every time.

During this time of panic (coronavirus) it is nice to know that you can still find super nice people. I called to order some meat and the girl who answers the phone is the sweetest person, she was so helpful and pleasant to talk to. When this world gets back to normal, I will surely being going there for my meat and they have the best jerky!!!Nice people, great products!! Your missing out if you don't go check them out!!!

Make a special trip here every time I pass through town. The beef jerky, although expensive, is the BEST IN THE WORLD. You can clearly taste the love and hard work put into making every batch. Betcha can't eat just one piece !

Every Christmas I make a point to stop by and stock up for my trek back to Los Angeles. There is no comparable to the quality of the product or the kindness of those behind the counter. Well worth the trip!
