Very cool use of an old bank building with fabulous cocktails. New cocktails added monthly. Most can be made into mocktails. Well worth a trip to Burgettstown.

I read about Heist on Facebook about a month ago and have been dying to go! My friends and I went yesterday and loved it. It's in an old bank so the space is really cool. There are windows in the tasting room where you can see into the actual distillery - including the bank's original safe which is really neat! Each month they have a rotational cocktail menu made from their house-made spirits- gin and whiskey. As a gin girl, I was very excited they had gin over vodka. My friends and I each got two drinks each and we loved them all. This month's cocktail docket includes an orange whiskey sour, blueberry honey sour (made with local Bedillion's honey!), strawberry fields, gatsby's light, shady lady, and the secret garden. My first cocktail was the secret garden- a gin cocktail with elderflower and I forget what else but it was AMAZING! So fresh. Gatsby's light was their take on a moscow mule but with whiskey. The shady lady had lavender and was very light. The blueberry honey sour was my second favorite. They also offer charcuterie boards, but they are just the prepackaged ones from Aldi. Cocktails were excellent and well-priced, I think all of them were $9 each. Staff was great! They even have a their dog roaming around :) Heist is a hidden gem!

This was our first visit to this location. One of the things that we do is travel to anything in the spirits world in the region. This is the 27th distillery in the Pittsburgh region.Found out from the owner that they opened up in January of 2023. He mentioned about the license that they have in place. Allows this to serve drinks here, sell their products at other locations (bars, restaurants) etc; When you walk in you get this nice smell of whiskey fermenting. Love the smell and a great view of the production floor. They have a 100 gallon pot still on the floor. Masher and a unit for fermentation. They have another device for distilling the Gin. Alex the owner mentioned that he has plans to add another pot still, something larger than the 100 gallon. As they start off, Alex and his wife still have full-time jobs in their industry before they can justify the ability to go full-time with the business. This is common with many people that own wineries, breweries, distilleries etc;We sampled the only 3 products that they have. Apple and Oranges, Gin and a whiskey base that is a bourbon but a clear spirit for now. They are working on a bourbon as they have barrels as small as 2 gallons, 5, 10, 15 and as larges as 59 gallons aging with the base to create a brown spirit for the bourbon experience. All of the samples were good and unique in the taste that we experienced. They have a new set of drinks weekly or monthly. I had the apples and oranges and like it. But loved the mule with the jalapeño, it had a spice to it that I loved. The owner Alex was nice and explained everything clearly. He explained the devices that he has in place on the production floor. Getting to the distillery, this is in a old bank and goes with the theme of Heist and the bathrooms have photos of bank robbers, bonnie and Clyde. Cool experience. Alex, mentioned that they are working on outside seating as well. This is a good stop to have pre-drinks before a concert moving forward.Overall impressive experience. I purchased a bottle of the Apple and Oranges and look forward to our next visit at this nice and upcoming distillery to the area and only spirit place in Burgettstown.

Heist is a great experience all around! The drinks are good and you can see the old vault from the original bank along with the setup for the distillery. There's board games available to play and an adorable dog who loves to be pet. Worth a visit for sure.

This distillery is one of the coolest places I've ever been to. Not only did it have amazing gin, Rye, Whiskey, and Bourbon, but it also has a bit of rich history, an awesome outdoor area, and owners who create the spirits themself and can explain it to you through a tour! They have charcuterie boards you can buy and they were also selling pie and hummus. There is also a diner roght down the street and they have food trucks and live bands sometimes too! This establishment is a gem found in Burgettstown and I am so happy to have experienced it and met the owners. Stop by and give them a chance, you won't regret it!
