Just enjoyed a big breakfast at Heartland Hill Restaurant. The waitress was friendly and fast! I enjoyed the special of the day, which was a meat lover's omelette. All of the staff were friendly and welcoming. This place is a diner, no frills but definitely looked clean. If you're in the area I'd suggest this place for breakfast.

I enjoyed visiting this place while visiting family with my mom. It's nice to know there's a greasy spoon type of place in Carrollton. Our server was kind and helpful. We got a lot of food for the price. My food was good but didn't have much flavor, so I added lots of salt. Coffee was good and I entertained myself with the word find on the menu. HahaDefinitely check this place out if you're in the area!

We are in town visiting family and my husband and his family have come here for years. This was my first time here and I absolutely loved it. The atmosphere was very clean, quaint and cozy, to compliment the town of Carrollton. The staff is warm and friendly and the food was simply amazing! The portions are big but not over done. Just like a great home cooked meal. We had breakfast. I ordered the 3 egg omelette with smoked ham and cheddar cheese. My husband ordered the country fried steak with brown gravy, eggs and homemade hash browns and we split a half order of homemade biscuits with sausage gravy and it was more than delicious!! The coffee was good and for the hot chocolate lovers that was tasty too.. I'm sure everything else on the menu is just as good!

Heartland Hill is a family owned local restaurant. I've been here a few times over the years when visiting family in the area. Located out on Canton Road on the outskirts of Carrollton. The restaurant has been around for sometime serving the locals and shows its wear. A good size parking area, but has no lines on the blacktop for parking spaces. Folks just pull in off the road and stake a spot. Interior is an older wall paper that has been there for years. Décor is a country crafts with season decorations from a local five and dime store. Seating is comfortable, but can be tight during peak times. Noise level can get loud also with excited families around. Seems like a lot of folks know each other and has that small community charm. It's a place where family and friends gather, share a meal together and make memories. The menu and food items are simple home cooking. On my recent visit for dinner, I had the roast beef with mashed potatoes, brown gravy and green beans. The food was good comfort food style. No seasoning with the food, just simple. Prices are very reasonable with a respectable portion size. Service was okay. There were a couple mistakes that were easily resolved. And, she made changes when one of my Aunts decided on a different meal. I could not help but feeling, however, that the waitress wanted to be somewhere else. She never asked if anyone wanted dessert. She just brought everyone their bills. I had been eyeing their dessert options posted on the wall over the restrooms. Their pies and apple dumpling have been rather good in the past, but decided to pass this time based on the service and feeling content from the meal.I will likely visit again whenever I am back in town. I like their simple meals, desserts and small country charm.

I love this little place. It's on our way to a family cabin and we try and stop every time. The menu is pretty large for such a small spot. The food is always great, homemade and well served. The people who work here are all very nice and welcoming, as is most of this area of OH. We love it!

This is my favorite breakfast place in Carrollton, Ohio. The waffles with strawberries and whip cream are phenomenal! The staff is always friendly. I have tried the omelets once and wasnt a fan of the square piece of cheese on top, but over all it was good.

I hadn't eaten here for 25 years. Retired and moved down to this area, and made this my Go To place to eat. Laid back atmosphere and the Liver & Onions was wonderful !

One star for service. The biscuit tastes like yesterday's. The home fries tasted like old grease. Eggs were cold. I suggest you look for a different restaurant.

It doesn't look like much from the outside or the inside even, but the food is worth stopping for. The roast beef is an actual roast instead of deli meat that a lot of small restaurants put in a hot roast beef; delicious. Portions are sizable and prices reasonable. The desserts are also worth a trip. The service has been excellent each visit. My only complaint besides the decor is the water. You can't drink a plain water and the sodas and coffee all have a slightly off taste because of the water.
