Very cute 50's style restaurant that is very busy. Lots and lots of choices except for what I would want, a Bleu Cheese Burger with crispy onion straws. Bleu cheese dressing is a terrible choice. All burgers are cheap and in my opinion lacking. The buns are homemade and tough to chew. The burger was supposed to be medium rare but it was over cooked. Staff is very friendly and helpful. It's literally the only place in town but it's only ok. Ice cream can be ordered in the restaurant or at the ice cream shop attached.

We enjoyed this restaurant as we were just passing through. So much to choose from but delicious food! My son and I split a large cheeseburger sub (the picture only shows one half) and my hubby got the John Wayne burger. We shared onion rings. For dessert we got an Andes Mint milkshake, a strawberry cheesecake milkshake, and a peanut butter ice cream with hot fudge and peanut butter cups sundae (#1 under sundaes- picture is after I took a few bites) and they were all delicious! What a treat! Service was quick too! The booths in the sunroom area were nice and big and fit a baby car seat (we had a sleeping baby along). The seats and temperature were just right.

Great food, cool vibe, so many choices. The dessert options are where it's really at. I got a side of fries; I think it was like seven dollars and it was inedible, it was the salt and vinegar flavor. Their deep fried cauliflower was amazing. Ribs were ok. The only issue we had was they totally screwed up our check and there was only six of us, in two groups.

Their pizzas are nice and big. Not too greasy or too much sauce. Two can normally feed my family of six for dinner and have leftovers. Their wings are absolutely delicious. I always got the mild and would mix ranch with it. The mild wasn't too spicy, but it did leave a bit of a burn. Their fries are delicious as well. The ice creams are always delicious as well. Perfect for an after school or game snack. The only thing is the parking. I understand the location leaves little room to work with, but that's what keeps us from coming more often. Which is why I cannot give 5 stars. I am crippled and can't walk far on uneven terrain. There aren't many parking options for me. So even if I were with just my kiddos, I don't know if I'm going to be able to get a spot close enough to go in.

The fried apps (mac & cheese wedges and breaded mushrooms) were perfect and not greasy. Hot as heck too!I ordered the mac & cheese skillet, the baby demanded carbs, with some fried chicken cutlet. It was good flavor wise but not very hot. The breading on the chicken was a touch salty, but the chicken itself had an amazing flavor/juiciness to it! I don't blame them for the saltiness; salt is hard to see when you're busy as all get out, and they were!!! A sign of a great place. My husband ordered the roast beef, mashed potatoes and brown gravy. The meat was SUPER tender and flavorful, the mashed potatoes were real, and the gravy was the brown packet stuff. The bite I had was very re-order-able, I'd just skip the gravy and ask for the beef broth. The maple walnut milkshake was just enough, as was my husband's peanut butter milkshake. The peanut butter ice cream is homemade and perfectly peanut butter! The portions are huge and we ordered smalls too!All in all a 4.5 star experience brought to a 5 due to the staff (awesome and friendly!!!), majority of the food quality, and the options offered for meals and desserts.

In terms of value for money, this is about as good as you can get at this large local diner. Their loaded fries are a MUST.

Fun eatery in a small town at the end of leg 7 of the MABDR. They have a lot of different food, from pasta to specialty burgers and fries, but save room for dessert!

Great Food and Homemade Ice Cream all in a 50's style atmosphere! If you are traveling 322 between Harrisburg and State College make a stop off the Port Royal exit for fresh, filling, and affordable American classics. The restaurant recently opened in the building at the old driving range off the exit. The new owners renovated the inside to a 50 styles malt shop decor', The menu ranges from subs, sandwiches and fresh burgers (on homemade buns) to classic meals of chicken parm, fish n chips, and many others. The loaded fries are hand cut and piled high with toppings of your choice. In addition to the meals, the restaurant includes a malt shop for eat in or take out homemade ice cream in a variety of shakes, sundaes, parfaits, and mix-ins. There are daily specials, but on Wednesday is their 50's flash back day, where diners can get .75 burgers, French fries, and shakes!! This special is offered all day so go early because it gets busy around dinner time. The service was very friendly, quick, and helped contributed to the overall dining experience!

Poor customer relations. Appeared to give preferential treatment to people of certain social status and/or race. Honestly, staff was rude and disrespectful.
