We came with a group to the Hardwood Cafe on our way to going to a rodeo in Butler. The place is large with an open air covered deck attached. Our server was named Ashley and she was really friendly and attentive. She was positive about menu items and our choices. We started with the Hot Honey Goat Cheese, which I liked, but the rest of the group did not. We ordered a mix of sandwiches, burgers, and pizza. Everything came out really well cooked and tasted great. I had the Jonathan, which was grilled chicken, cheese, and onions on toasted bread. This place is right on route 8 so it is easy to access if traveling through Butler.

Had dinner this evening my meal was ok. Sorry being from South Louisiana there was anything Cajun even if it states slightly. The best part of my experience was the bartender Cody, he was very nice and friendly. He suggested a real good wine the Federalist Red Blend.

I stopped by the Hardwood Cafe after a round of golf down the street. I had driven by many times before and the inside was not what I was expecting from the road. It's an open floor plan with plenty of patio seating with lots of TVs. The food is good and there is a large menu. We enjoyed our wings and pizza. I would definitely return.

12 years ago, I used to work there. Great people, great environment! I finally returned for my wife's birthday, and for a great meal! And we got it!! We ordered a full rack of ribs each, and had enough to leftovers! It was so tender, the bones slide right off the meat! (Better than any BBQ place I've been too) They totally redid the entire place to where it was unrecognizable to me...it looked amazing! Our waitress, Althea, was very sweet and kind! She gave us more than enough attention! We'll be returning at least once a month, since we live an hour away!
