Hank's Frozen Custard and Mexican

Hanks knows how to make a a delicious taco meat! I got the beef burrito to go because they travel better for eating at home. Honestly thought it was gonna be bigger and it didn't quite fill me up. Would need two to be full. I think next time I'll try the three taco value combo for more food and better value.

Hank's is such a classic roadside spot that I've driven past for many years along the Ohio River, but I'd never tried their food until now! They advertise as having custard and Mexican food, so I visited with a friend (who loves Hank's) to try both of their specialties. It's a window service setup, with a few windows specific to hot foods, and one that is specific to custard/frozen treats. We ordered the wraparound tacos (soft shell around a hard shell with beans in the middle) with meat and cheese and tomatoes, I got the hot and she tried the mild in terms of spice level. We also got a side of tater tots just for fun! The tacos are yummy (don't expect "gourmet", but they're cozy and filling and don't skimp on portion) and the dining setup is picnic tables under a gazebo, it was a treat to sit in the summer weather and enjoy some good food. They played good music, too! After the tacos we ordered some custard, I tried peanut butter and it was fantastic! It's a true custard that's thick and creamy and not just glorified soft serve. They vary their flavors on a regular basis from what I gathered, so the options change depending on when you visit. Hank's is such a fun place and the prices/portions are excellent! I will be back to enjoy more tacos and try some more tasty custard flavors!

The custard selection is amazing, and you'll need it after trying a taco with some el scorcho sauce, lol. Everything on the menu is amazing, which is why Hank's always has people lined up to eat. One of the best steak quesadillas there is anywhere!

I am not a loyal fan and think Hanks is the best place ever, but we do try to go couple times a year. I was not feeling Mexican, so I tried the breaded chicken and fries with Honey Mustard dressing. I really really liked it! My husband got 3 tacos...which were good and predictable. My mom got a taco salad. She could have had more chips. We also got some ice cream...always good.

Thoroughly disappointed in the ice cream...scoops were small and the number of cookie dough pieces and Reeses chunks were few. The only thing there was plenty of were the unusually large chocolate chips in the mint chocolate chip. To top it off, one or all 3 of these flavors gave me the trots...lucky I was heading straight home after. I have heard nothing but glowing stories about how this place is a regional tradition, blah, blah, blah. I can see it being a subjective, nostalgic thing, but there is nothing subjective about getting sick from the food. The Beaver County Health Department should pay a visit. Brusters is a much better bet...it appears that they actually clean their equipment.

Came out to Sahli Nature Park for a Sunday stroll and stopped at Hank's for some custard afterwards. I ordered the cookies & cream and raspberry cheesecake custard, both flavors were delicious without being overly rich. My friend got a vanilla milkshake. Even with a large group occupying most of the covered outdoor seating area, we were able to find a perfect bench spot around the side of the building. Hank's also offers an extensive menu of Mexican and American hot foods if you're in the mood for lunch, dinner, or snack options.

It is well worth the drive to Hank's Frozen Custard, especially the peanut butter and chocolate mix you all know you want. Outside seating area is perfect to chill and hang out.

Was it wrong to get excited for frozen flan... Absolutely, just because Hank's sells frozen custard and Mexican food it doesn't mean they have to naturally have frozen flan (they missed the boat on this one).They do have frozen custard which is good and they do have Mexican food on their menu (very American fast food style) They don't do either perfectly but they do it well enough for the locals and they have lots of local fans, Aloha

Love taking my grandma here. The tacos are really good. Our favorite is the frozen custard though. Staff is nice, sometimes the line is long but they work as quickly as they can.

Great local place. Great food and icecream. Service was fast even though they were really busy. A fun store you sit outside or take to go. Will be back for sure
