Hanini Market and Subs

My sister Vi and I live literally a 3 minute walk from this place so we're regular customers. Don't let the location or decor deter you. The food here is excellent. I usually get their whole Italian cold sub, which is much tastier than Subway's. Just $5 for a huge order of freshly made French fries (large) can't be beat! Give this place a chance, and I think you'll be glad you did!

The food is ok. The service is the problem. They are the slowest moving people ever. There is no seating. It's take out only.

Awesome food and great portions. Would highly recommend if you want something fast and decent.

So we've ordered via UberEats here twice. Both times something's been just..off. Today took the cake though. We ordered, and nothing came as we asked. I ordered a gyro combo, (gyro and fries) with cucumbers, sauce, lettuce, green pepper land tomato. When it arrived; it was gyro meat, lettuce and two little chunks of green pepper. On the outside of the wrapping, it said: Sorry no Tom! Thanks. I don't understand why you wouldn't call the customer and let them know you don't have what they ordered. I would have gotten something different had I known basically everything I wanted was not coming on my delivery. Also, they neglected to send the fries. So I paid an extra $3 for nothing. Cool. Matt's chicken wing ding things were the saddest excuse for wings I've ever seen. But I digress. It's sad that the food actually tastes good here, but they just can't follow through to make sure their customers are happy. Happy Eating. Just not here.

When you think of subs, you usually think of places like Subway. Which usually means mediocre sandwiches put together fast. You don't get that here at Hanini's. What you get is a crafted sandwich that is made to order as you ask for it.I came in here not expecting much, but left with more than I expected. Set up like a regular looking convenience store you don't think you are about to have an experience. I mean when you come in and see everything from drinks in a cooler, cigarettes behind the counter and a flat screen television for sale, you're not thinking food is just within your reach.Sandwiches, subs and combos are available for purchase. I went with the All American. Now when you think you order this, you think that you are going to watch them go through a cookie cutter exercise to assemble your sandwich. Nope, you get to see a construction of your sandwich. Right after you order it's like a two man show behind the counter. One goes about getting your bread ready while the other slices your meats fresh. That's right, meats sliced right as your order. Toppings are the norm for sandwiches so you can mixed and match to your heart's delight. You also can have it hot or cold.Combos with subs are available which means you get a drink and a bag of chips as your side. Decent pricing as well. Definitely good for a quick bite to eat.

Was just visiting Pittsburgh for a few days and ordered lunch from Hanini's. Sub was much bigger than I was expecting so definitely worth the price! It was packed with meat and veggies I wanted. Very delicious!

Love their grilled chicken salad. I get with a side of fries for a pittsburgh classic.

the food is amazing... however the last couple time I called and placed a phone pick up order the guy who has taken my order seems to not understand what I am ordering or doesn't know the menu. then when I explain in person that the order is wrong he is very rude. i think he shouldn't answer the phones anymore. ither then this issue I've never had a problem with anyone food is usually amazing when I get what i ordered & not whatever he writes down after my order is placed. I ordered a crispy chicken sandwich & added Buffalo sauce with light lettuce & got a grilled Buffalo chicken hoagie smh Which costed more Too !!!!

Absolutely love their loaded steak fries. Owners and employees are extremely friendly
