Grieco's Carefree Inn Restaurant

One of my favorite restaurants in Pittsburgh! The service is always amazing, the restaurant itself gives off old Italian vibes and the food is just the cherry on top!We normally go on the weekends for prime rib, which you do have to call ahead and reserve. My fiancé had the Alfredo which he always loves. The French onion soup is to die for and she hasn't let me down yet, as well as the zucc and cheese skewers The main event- the prime rib (12oz. This time) melted in my mouth- always phenomenal!

I have eaten at Griecos several times before. Recently, I got a couple of dinners to go. My order was ready as promised. The portions were large, and both were delicious. The steak salad had a decent amount of meat on top with plenty of fries. The ranch dressing provided was very good. The chicken parm had three large breaded pieces covered with cheese and sauce over pasta. The takeout service was good. The inside looks a little dated, but don't let that stop you.

I really liked this place maybe it's because I love the old school feeling. It's like walking into a mob movie. The food is good, prices are good and staff is great. It is a secret gem... no snobs need to go.

Wednesday night South African lobster night. Thursday night Alaska king crab night. Best appetizer without a doubt is black and blue shrimp.

Finally got into to try this restaurant, but from the start - we knew it wasn't going to be a relaxing, pleasant meal. The staff was nice enough but felt like we were 'intruding' on their relaxing night/break? The noise level was above average upon entering.The food was okay but coming from an Italian(second generation American) household with grandparents that immigrated from Sicily/Italy... I kind of had my hopes or expectations up.The salads were fine, nothing to write home about. I've had much better at non-Italian restaurants. The stuffed pepper appetizer was good and my dining partner said the French onion soup was okay but much better at the Log Cabin so do the math. The meals were in a word, bland. Spaghetti/meat-sauce(?) for my partner which was 'hospital food' seasoned. I had eggplant parm which smelled good as it was brought to the table but that ended there. It was chewy/rubbery and tasted like it had been heated up in the microwave a few times too many...the consistency just turned me off.The sauce was okay but nothing special (my dining guest was correct that it was 'lacking' in flavor).All in all the food was quite pedestrian. I wouldn't recommend if you like REAL Italian food. There are so many other great choices out there. Sorry this was brutally honest but I was expecting so much better.

Yep, met friends again at this comfortable establishment. Shout out to Kelly, our patient and kind server! Everything was delicious as usual. Brought new folks with us and they enjoyed themselves, too. I loved the grilled sirloin. As always, my husband had the eggplant parm. 1/2 carafe of wine for $20 can't be beat. Great crowd. Thanks again!

Good steaks, good Italian food, great prime rib. Not a fan of their seafood, healthy wine, pours we go there fairly often

Eggplant parm and black and blue shrimp were amazing. Reasonable prices. Nice server.
