This place is a hidden PGH gem. Don't just think "pub grub"...The salads are excellent!! It's a standard stop when we come to visit the kid at school.

Right by our hotel and just wanted to grab a beer. At first glance you may think-I don't wanna eat here. Well we were starving and wow did I insert foot in mouth! Had the French dip & roast beef sandwiches. Holy wow they were delicious. Couple drinks and super cheap! 2 meals, 6 drinks ( don't judge) & tab was less than $40. We will be returning on our trip before we leave. Icing on top/-had a basket of chocolates and sweets for desert!

The service = 5 stars + the drink prices = 5 starsThe entrance is a little tricky, you need to go inside the building.I was instantly greeted like I was family, and the place was decently busy, busy still had some space. I love a good tavern/pub, but this one felt amazing to go to as a visitor!Beers are around $3.75 and they are trying to keep it that way!Cash is encouraged to help keep the costs down of this family feeling vibe place.I tried a local beer (only beer in bottles, no draft) and a shot of Jameson! Everything was amazing.Place was clean - did not smell like smoke, and the decor is so fun/funny!Thanks for having me! :)

Awesome is an understatement. We held our rehearsal dinner here last week and our friends/family still talk about how great it was. Cheryl was so helpful, she gave recommendations on where to order catering from and then made sure we had all of the plates, napkins, etc we could possibly need. Bar service was also super fast and the drinks were great too.I truly can't say enough good things about this place. We're from out of town so had never been to Grant Street Tavern before, but I'm so happy we took a chance on it and I'd do it again in a heartbeat. 100% recommend!

Located inside the Grant Building this little tavern is a great place to eat lunch for anyone working downtown or needing to be downtown on a weekday. They have a good selection of sandwiches, burgers and salads. I've had a cheeseburger here as well as the Cobb salad. Both great. This establishment also offers daily lunch specials.Definitely another of those little hidden Pittsburgh gems.
