Such a unique spot in the burg with all types of candy, soda, and sweet treats. This is a great place to stop for kids and adults of all ages. They had a large selection of craft sodas and a homemade chocolate offerings by the register. It's definitely a great place to stop for some treats and get some cool pics. The only reason I gave it 4 stars was because they are not handicap accessible, so no wheelchairs can get in.

Such a well-stocked candy store. Fun to browse around for all types candy. But, the best parts would be the ice cream counter and the freshly made candy counter. Of course, I had to purchase a "few" chocolates, of which I can attest to their deliciousness! One point to single out -- there are 2 doors to the entrance, both of which have one single step up to the entrance. This would appear to be hindrance to someone in a wheelchair or less mobile.

Coolest candy store! Has one of the largest selections of candy in the Pittsburgh region!!! The go-to spot for candy, has everything from retro/old favorites to the new and hot candy, as well as individual candy and bulk bags. My absolute favorite is the $5 fill a box candy wall. Pick from items like air heads, lemon heads, peach rings, gummy bears and much more. Such a fun store to browse, they have fun gifts on top of their giant candy selection. They also have homemade chocolate and an ice cream shop! Tried the strawberry shoe lace licorice and Grandpa Joe's own Banana Soda. Both were good- the shoe laces brought back memories and the soda was perfectly sweet!

If you are looking for a really cool candy shop, you can't beat Grandpa Joe's Candy shop in Pittsburgh's strip district. From modern candy to candy from your childhood, Grandpa Joe's has it all. Where else can you find a toilet filled with Tootsie Rolls? Love soda, and obscure flavors? They have those too. Where else can you get a Grape Nehi? They also have ice cream, bulk candy, games and lots of cool Knickknacks.

Stopped here for a milkshake after eating at Peppis down the street for lunch. Wild place - really like the paint on the outside of the building which is eye catching There is plenty of candy options that are in their packaging, as well as a caramel and chocolate showcases area, and a hand-dipped ice cream area. They do milkshakes and malts Went with a chocolate malt which was good - though it wasn't as thiccc as I would have liked. Still good - staff was nice and attentive.

Super fun candy shop in the strip. They have so many fun knic knacks and a huge selection of candy. Also one of the only places in the strip that will let you use their bathroom.

Want to revisit your favorite childhood soda pop? Pop Rocks? Bubble Tape? Pez? Anything you can dream of that tickled your fancy in the sweets aisle as a kid (maybe since the 70's, just a guess)... you can probably find it at Grandpa Joe's! I really don't understand where these items are still coming from. They still exist and are being manufactured somewhere -- just for sale at this one chain of stores in Pittsburgh!? HA! You'll have to check it out for yourself.

A fun and happy place by the paint and decor outside. Just as fun to explore on the inside.Definitely some cool and unique, plus retro, items. Some items are reasonably priced according to typical tourist stores, but this also had plenty of outrageous prices, even for a touristy spot. The staff, a checkout girl, was very friendly. It's a neat place to explore. We did buy a bagful of items, including candy and a game. It's worth a wander. You may find a long ago treat, or something new.
