Grand Avenue Grille

Excellent value for the price! Honestly can't beat it. No frills but love the down home feel, very fabulous waitress! This is going to be a regular breakfast stop for me

Again... diners are my thing and this didn't disappoint. It hits the mark on price and (for me) ambiance. Carmelly coffee in a ceramic mug :check; old pictures on the walls: check; booths, tables or the old fashioned bar near the kitchen and register: check. Generous portions of breakfast food were served as we noticed the regulars interact warmly with the staff. Even the police officer came in and bellied up to the bar for a cup and some conversation. Love it!

You can't beat this place for good food at affordable pricing. There's nothing fancy about it and sometimes you have to wait to be seated or wait on your order but the servers are attentive and the menu is more than adequate. Home made pies are a favorite here and the cook / owner, Traci will make you anything you want. Parking is mostly on the street and the building is turn of the century with a lot of character. They are open from 7:00 am until 2:00 pm.

My husband was on the USS Mars ship while it was being decommissioned and we heard the bell from the ship was in the town square in Mars. So we made a quick trip over to see it and decided to have breakfast at the Grand Avenue Grille. This is an obvious small town diner. My husband and I both got the eggs, bacon and pancake breakfast. The eggs were cooked correctly and the bacon was okay. The pancakes, however were not great. They were underdone in the center and tasted a little gritty. I'm thinking they use a batter that has at least some corn flour. The best part about this place was the price point. Extremely affordable. We don't live close by so it's not likely to be one of our regular stops, but I would probably come back again if we're in the area to try some other menu items.
