Gingerly Press

We went to Gingerly Press for a corporate team-building experience, and it was great! There were 11 of us, none with letterpress experience, and we somehow managed to design a poster together, assemble all the elements (from Lindsay's incredibly vast library of type!), and print copies that we each got to take home. It's not easy to find team-building activities that actually foster collaboration, aren't weather-dependent, and are genuinely fun. Lindsay is a lovely hostess and great at sharing just the right amount of information to help letterpress newbies succeed. The cost of the workshop included lovely snacks and beverages, and you can BYOB if you choose to. She also provided aprons for each participant, and parking is free. I want to go back with friends or my mom for a future workshop--just being in that space feels good, and the design process is really fun. Highly recommend!

I attended the Notebook Block-Printing & Binding Workshop with my husband as a birthday gift for him. This workshop was beyond what I expected. Lindsay was kind, thorough in her directions, had everything prepared ahead of time and was so thoughtful in everything she did. She even had snacks and coffee, tea and water for the participants. I wouldn't hesitate to attend another class. I also a number of her art pieces and they are beautiful and high quality.
