Gibbie's Pub & Eatery

If you're going for drinks. They are fairly price and good. The bartender seemed very unwelcoming. Unsure if he was just having a bad day. Wife got a sweet drink but was unable to finish it(too sweet for her liking but really good for me) and I had a classic crown and coke. It was pretty hot in there which was a little unpleasant and ordered the pepperoni roll. Was expecting them to be a little more pack with meat and cheese was more crust than filling. And lack of menus made it hard to order. A couple people came asking for menus while we were there

Great location near the library. No charge for street parking on Sunday. Excellent bar and local beers on tap. Good advice on the local selection too. Tried the fish and chips which were pretty good after using a napkin to get the excess oil off. Fun place!

This is one of my favorite local spots. The food is always delicious and good quality. Staff is very friendly and welcoming. Inside has a vintage feel that makes you feel right at home. Very laid back atmosphere.

Tony and I went to a Cruise In Car Show on High Street in downtown Morgantown this evening. After checking out the cars (which were awesome) we went into Gibbie's to cool off.... it's a heatwave out there!!! Tony had a bottle of PBR and I had Unsweetened Iced Tea. About 5-6 yrs ago was the last time we were in here, so it was nice to revisit.

Don't order takeout because they will screw it up every time. Literally no matter what you order lol.

We asked several people and searched Yelp. This place never came up or was mentioned. It's a HODDEN GEM!!! We needed to eat lunch, we missed breakfast. They are open when everyplace else closes ahead of dinner service. We loved the food, our waitress, the ambiance, everything! Irish Pubs are a reliable choice. We had the iconic pepperoni roll- delectable, a steak wrap with homemade curly fries- oh so yummy, hot wings with ghost pepper sauce - good but we had the sauce on the side. The wings need seasoning, sauce is never enough, ginger beer always good, and Pumpking lager- fun, but not my favorite (try O'Malley's pumpkin beer, assorted flavors. The caramel is to die for). Emily was the perfect waitress- gets the job done professionally, pleasantly, and efficiently. She was camera-shy for this review. Yelp and TripAdvisor do you a great disservice when this option doesn't show as a primary eatery to enjoy.

Today was my first experience here and i will say i will never go back there again. let me start off saying that ove worked at 4 different restaurants and i know how the service industry works. our server was clearly under the influence and i even saw him pull out a hand filled with pills. he messed up our order so bad multiple times. when he brought out the food he pulled the ticket using his mouth. worst service ive ever had in my life.

Stale beer like tap lines not cleaned "In Years!!" Visited on weekday afternoon , not busy sat at bar... no real designated person bartending or appeared that way... the 3 I saw just fended for themselves on tables, bar guests , etc. Ordered a sandwich.... Completely in-edible... soggy bread, tasted old/off... server took it away seeing I was done didn't even take notice I didn't eat 1/4 of it.. later just asked if I needed my bill.... Paid all of tab.... Won't be back. Obviously a good place at one time.... But that time has greatly past!!!

Gibbie's is great for a quick bite and/or drink. They have a friendly staff, especially when the place isn't too busy. They can really make you feel like the only customer there.

Beat burgers we've had in a very long time!! An eclectic little place, local bar/pub. Impressive beer list too but the burgers...wow!!
