We rolled into this lovely restaurant at just a few minutes before 8pm on a weeknight. (A third party site said it closed at 8:30 pm.) Everyone was very nice to us, and the place looked great. There were only a couple of other tables with diners. The menu had a lot of tempting options. We chose a sampler pizza. And then we got a strange feeling. One of us went outside and checked the front door. No hours listed. The hostess at the front checked if we were looking for something. We asked her when the restaurant closes. She said 8 pm. Uh oh. Everyone had been so polite and welcoming, it was only the other patrons leaving which had made me realize we had forgotten to check the hours! Our pizza arrived, and looked fabulous. We immediately asked for a to go box, and each grabbed one of the skinny slices to eat at the table. Delicious!!! We paid our tab in cash, and continued to eat when we got into our vehicle. (We were not being hurried or rushed at all, we just didn't want to be rude and/or cause anyone to get home late.)The pizza was absolutely fabulous. Each type was flavorful, and any of them would be wonderful as a whole pie. As we were eating, I also realized we had probably picked one of the more complicated pizzas -- three minutes after closing! UGH.Overall, this was a terrific place. The food was amazing, the atmosphere was warm, and the staff was welcoming. This is definitely a place to which we would return!

Visiting friends over the Halloween weekend, and since we were visiting after all, I got to pick where we'd stop in for a bite to eat. Since I wanted to have some Italian our friends suggested here - what a great choice...The restaurant that has a very upscale look inside and out, however their menu leans towards being more family oriented, which frankly is perfectly fine by me. They had a special going on this evening of their Italian Sampler - lasagna, spaghetti and meatballs, gnocchi, and ravioli - all slathered in a dark red and delicious marinara sauce. It was so much, I ended up taking half of it home.I was also pleasantly surprised by their beer selection - not the run-of-the-mill Italian beers but other craft selections, seasonals, and what-not. Service was friendly, efficient, and he was a joy when jawing with us at the table- he did a great job.The experience would have been a solid 4.5 to 5 stars if it were not for the wait to be seated. At one point I counted 4 waiters/waitresses milling about, and with hostess on the phone, I would have thought (and frankly expected) one of them to step in and help. I normally don't mind the wait, I get it. It can be busy at times right at the entrance, but in this instance it just felt a bit lacking. Anyway, solid Italian joint, will be glad to drop in next time I'm visiting.

Cheese wedges were cooked perfectly and served with giannilli's red sauce.Ordered a thin crust pizza with pepperoni and 1/2 sausage.Crust came crispy, sauce slightly sweet, cheese was plentiful. My grandson ordered the pierogi dinner and loved it! The spaghetti and meatballs dinner was tasty and filling. They currently offer 2 pasta (angel hair, spaghetti or rigatoni) dinners for $14.99 on Monday and Tuesdays. Shoutout to our server, she had 11 active tables (with customers) at once. She kept a smile on her face, checked on her tables throughout lunch and truly commanded the room. She knew which tables had food and what was still needed for tables waiting for their orders. This server has worked at Giannilli's for 21 years, they are lucky to have this pro on their team!

Giannilli's has a great selection of pizza, appetizers and Italian food. I haven't been here in a long time, and the food hasn't changed. It is still great quality food with friendly staff. The only reason I gave it four stars was the outside decor. When we pulled up, there were two large yellow signs, and one of those red tall inflatable people with the waving arms to get peoples' attention. The restaurant use to have a classy feel, and the outside kind of ruined that. I ordered the bread sticks topped with cheese as an appetizer and then a half of an Italian sub with the fresh cut fries. The bread was very flavorful, the sub was delicious, and the fries were fantastic as usual. The sauce for the bread sticks adds additional flavor and is a great supplement. The fresh cut fries are not the type of fries you would expect at this type of restaurant. They remind me of potato patch fries from Idlewild or Kennywood on a smaller scale. The waitress was very friendly and the restaurant was very clean inside. If you like wings, they have the best sweet and hot wings in the area.

Ate here after not going for many, many years. Not because of any issues, but because of it not being an option based on moving away. Was pleasantly surprised to see how good things were. Personally, I think better than they used to be. We ordered a 16 cut pizza, the chicken marsala, and a cup of wedding soup. The pizza was excellent! The marsala... excellent! The soup was very good, too, but it was a little cool temperature wise. Great, fresh bread was served, too.Overall, we were very impressed with how good everything was, and with how great our service was. Can't wait to go back again and try something else.

I had the cheese pizza and the chicken and mojos. The cheese pizza is fine, nothing really amazing but a good, solid pizza. Lots of cheese, sauce slightly sweet, crust is fairly thin but nicely chewy. Not being from the area, I didn't know what to expect from "chicken and mojos". What I got was pressure cooker fried chicken and perfectly done thick potato wedges. They were crunchy on the outside, soft and hot in the middle. These are simply the best potato wedges I've ever eaten anywhere. The chicken was the same. Slightly salty, perfectly crunchy skin but juicy, hot flavorful chicken. I've eaten plenty of fried chicken in the deep south that wouldn't have come near this standard.Side note, I had the food delivered to a hotel. They were easy to work with setting up the delivery, driver was friendly and the food was sizzling hot upon arrival. Nice people, good food.

Ordered 100 pieces of chicken to be picked up at 12 pm. Not ready until after 1 pm. No real apology no discount. Owner hid in the back. I might add we are regular customers. No longer.
