Georges Mediterranean Market

This place is a hole in the wall! We ordered food for lunch, and when we got there to pick it up the place was closed. While I was calling, a woman walked up, opened the door and welcomed us in. She began making our food as soon as she came in. Luckily we had a long lunch break, or we would've been out of luck. It was a 30 minute wait, but the food was absolutely phenomenal! It was all fresh and she went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. I got a gyro panini with grape leaves and it was delicious! I will be going back again, but will call to make sure someone is there to actually make the food on time.

REALLY GOOD food! I'm absolutely thrilled that I was able to find somewhere in Beaver County with ethnic food. The chicken schwarma wrap was fantastic! The tabouli was a little soggier than I am used to but the taste was great. The grape leaves had a garlicky taste to them, which I've never experience before but really enjoyed! I can't wait to go back and try more of their food. The prices were very reasonable as you can see with the attached menu. The man working was was kind, he put a cookie in the bag for my kids. There is a little setup in case you wanted to eat in. The grocery store has a lot of good spices that you may not see at your normal grocery (fennel, Mahlep, curry, schwarma). I will absolutely be returning.

Placed an online order for George's Mediterranean Market through its website. It forwarded me to Menufy. Both Yelp and Google indicated Sunday operating hours so I went to it's website, clicked "online order", and placed a ~$65 order for pickup at 12:17pmUpon receiving email confirmation that the order was ready at 12:42pm we drove down for pickup. Upon arriving at George's it was closed. Not only that, the hours on the door stipulated Sunday had no working hours.Sitting in the front of the restaurant I called Menufy support who swore up and down that George's was in fact open. After fighting with the Menufy representatives, offering to provide pictures to prove the restaurant was closed, she offered a refund.But wait, it's gets better... I still haven't received a refund. Why..., Menufy requires George's Mediterranean Market's authorization!Buyer beware! If George's is willing to leave it's online ordering running while closed in a fraudulent attempt to steal money from its patrons, I can't imagine what they do when you swipe your credit card.

The food was fantastic. I'm pretty sure the guy making it was a wizard because he somehow managed to make mushrooms taste good and I didn't think that was possible. I recommend calling to make your order about ten minutes before you get there so you don't have to wait too long. Food was very affordable and came in big portions.

What!! Ambridge has a Meditteranean market and deli? I had to check it out, and I'm so glad I did. I got some Tabbouli and Baba ganoush and grape leaves to go. This was the best baba I have ever eaten. I will definitely be back to try some other stuff they sell. The Tabbouli was great and the grape leaves very tasty. I'm getting hungry just writing this review. The only bad thing I can say is that I don't want to post this review because I want to keep it a secret. But let the word out and George's will be around to enjoy for many years.

Bought lentil soup.. a couple of them actually. Really nice employees & good selection of mediterian food items. Some other small sundry items too. They also have fresh bakery bread too (not baked there)... Worth the trip.

Loved the tabouli, falafel, baba ghanoush and lentil soup. Everything was homemade and delicious!! Lucky to have them in Ambridge. Will be back!!

Be sure to visit George's Mediterranean in Ambridge for amazing falafels, the best veggie stuffed grape leaves, hummus, babaganouj, and taboulleh. They also carry a good selection of Mediterranean pantry staples, excellent flatbread and frozen foods. I went back three times during a single week-- it's THAT good.
