My fiance and I went here for our anniversary dinner after a hike at Laurel caverns. We missed it twice, and were surprised to see the parking lot could only accommodate about eight vehicles. We managed to find a spot and were greeted and sat very quickly. Our server was very nice, but the service was a lot slower than we expected. Fifteen minutes for an appetizer, another ten for salads then dinner thirty minutes later. The food we ordered was very different from what we received. I ordered a pasta with artichoke, mushroom and lemon sauce. It came with no mushrooms, but chopped zucchini, which was overcooked. I was incredibly disappointed. My fiance ordered veal marsala. His dish was extremely overcooked and flavorless. We were very confused because the veal was very tough and tasted like a pork chop..He took a bite or two and couldn't finish the dish. We weren't offered refills on our wine or dessert. We were very disappointed that the dinner was very expensive and the food we could of easily made at home. When it came time for us to cash out, our server was nowhere to be found. Since we hired a sitter, we had to go to the hostess podium to pay so as not to be waiting any longer to leave. It was an awful experience.

Generations is a bit pricey, but the food is always excellent. I've never gotten better crab cakes anywhere!

What a great experience! The folks at Generations made us feel like we were literally at home. The food was perfect, and an atmosphere that reminded me of being a kid at grandmas! We came in from Pittsburgh, and had already heard good things...well, they EXCEEDED our expectations and we will definitely be back. Thanks again to everyone at Generations, and we'll see ya soon!

I've been going to this restaurant for over 20 years and it has always been my favorite. The food quality and choices are always amazing. Recently I tried a steak there for the first time and I was absolutely blown away by how good it was. I have eaten steaks in some of the best steakhouses in the country and this might be one of the best I've ever had. I'm glad I chose to not order one of my usual standards and go with this choice.

Pricey, so we expected good food. My choice was the artichoke medley with mushrooms and broccoli in lemon wine sauce. Oops, zucchini instead of mushrooms with no warning. Artichokes were too stringy to eat. $20. My aunt had gnocchi with nice sauce but very chewy. No one asked if our food was okay and when I mentioned the mushrooms, not even an apology much less a price reduction. The chicken Parmesan was good. They really need to step up their game.

This is the best restaurant in Uniontown. We were tourists from Washington DC and ate at several restaurants before arriving at this conclusion. Let's start with the ambiance. Generations is in an historic old house (built by the town's founder) and tastefully furnished. There are two dining rooms with five or six tables each. It's lovely. The food is not just a cut above the other restaurants in Uniontown. The food is on a big-city level except the prices are Uniontown. That is, for about $20, you get a quality dinner. It's a family run place. They cook, and what cooks, and one is a waitress. Well, sort of. She's more like the hostess at a dinner party if you talk to her. I simply don't understand the negative comments on Yelp about this place. Parking is ample. Even if the lot is full, what are you going to have to do, walk a half block? This is a small town. It isn't that difficult to park. Besides, compared to several dreadful places that we ate in Uniontown, Generations served haute cuisine. The bottom line is that if you are in town and want a delicious, pleasant meal that feels like you're in a friend's house, come here!

Terrible! Food is from freezer and sauce has no taste. Service is beyond poor. Only reason I gave it 1 star is because yelp won't allow a zero.

In a town fulll of fast food and chain resturants, it was wonderful to find a place where the fresh food is cooked and served well. The staff, Debbie et all, were incredibly friendly and well meaning and the service was wonderful. It was amazing to see the pictures of the owners family on the wall - truly a resturant paying homage to the Generations. Don't leave without a piece of Grandma's Angel Cake.

This restaurant was wonderful! Great food and great service. There were not many other customers this time of year, but all those people crowding the chain restaurants really missed out. Great chicken and veal dishes and good pasta sauce. We were only in town for two nights and decided to go back again on the second night. Very comfortable family-run restaurant. The parking lot is behind the old house the restaurant is in and you can enter via the driveways on both sides of the building.
