Everything I was looking for. Great Comfort food. Had the open faced turkey sandwich with gravy fries.

The place is a staple. Breakfast with home made bread. Incredible. Stop by for some baked goods and bread to go and you won't regret it.

We went for dinner and it's like an old style dinner. We so enjoyed it! The service was great, the food was delicious and bakery was amazing! We had a wide variety of food. Cheeseburger and fries, hot roast beef sandwich and fries, and gnocchi with salad.

A great small Town Diner experience. Service was good, food was great and price was good. I definitely recommend if in the area. It's. Not fancy, not hipster but perfectly cozy comfort food experience. I was there for breakfast on an early Saturday morning. We were there by 9, and got there just in time before it started getting busy.

My dad and I stopped here for lunch after 35 miles on the GAP. We stopped here based on an old looking sign signaling directions that was just off the trail. This place had a mix of old town diner feel and touristy trail users. I got a cheeseburger and french fries and my dad got some type of ham sandwich and soup. We both found the food to be adequately delicious. I am not picky, so I can't say the burger was the best I've ever had, but it was perfect for the moment, location, price, etc. The waitress was very nice and service was pretty good despite every table being full and her being the only help. Other customers were friendly as well, inquiring about our obvious bike ride. I don't know why anyone would give a bad review of this place- and the few I read clearly are delusional thinking they walked into some type of 5 star fine dining cuisine.

Had the homemade meatloaf. Bad choice. It was so gritty. The "meat" didn't taste like meat. Dont know what was in the mixture but I dont think they used any eggs to bind the meat. It was flavorless and very dry,even with the gravy. I should have had the chicken fried steak since I had that once before and it was excellent.. Beware!! Stay away from the meatloaf.The waitress was superb. She was so friendly and polite. She was on point.

My meatloaf had the texture of instant mashed potatoes, it didn't even have the taste of ground meat. Imagine meat that mushes between your tongue and the roof of your mouth, no chewing required. My husband's roast beef was soggy cubes of meat. My friend had the turkey dinner and all the meals had the same lumpy gravy. The green beans tasted like vinegar was added to it. Would not recommend this place to anyone.

I really enjoyed my visit to Gary's. I was on a mission to try a new place, and wasn't expecting to come to this area, but things changed.I have been to Carrie's before, but not for for quite a while. It's nice, clean, and the people were very accommodating and pleasant. I believe there is a bakery attached also associated with Gary's , and maybe even another business besides. I had a standard breakfast, all prepared well, but with the wonderful addition of homemade bread. The only thing I would've changed, would have been if there were some type of jams provided with the breakfast, but that's kind of a little thing. It may even have been available had I asked. Something homemade may have even made this my favorite place.

Throwback to family restaurants I grew up going to. This place has it all; great home cooked meals, baked goods and friendly service. Prices are reasonable. Some of the best pancakes I've ever had. Highly recommend.
