If you're looking for an Italian spot with HUGE portions, this is the spot for you!! We visited bring restaurant week, and the service wasn't great. I am attributing this to the fact that it was restaurant week and they were perhaps understaffed. I still plan on returning here despite that. They had one "mocktail" for dry january which was a n/a Moscow mule, pretty sure it was just lime juice and ginger beer.The food was absolutely wonderful! The meatballs were really good and the brussels were delicious. Coming from someone who doesn't like brussel sprouts. I could have eaten those as my dinner! I ordered the rigatoni tomato cream and added a crispy chicken cutlet. This was amazing and the portions are unreal big. You'll have leftovers for sure! Enough for a second meal!

We have wanted to try this place for quite some time so after a very long week...we went for it! I'm so glad we did. When we sat down at 5:30 there were only 2 other people eating, but by the time we left it was packed. The place itself is very old school family Italian decor and dimly lit, but quiet and comfortable. The portions are HUGE so be prepared to have a lot to take home.Starters: Meatballs - these were the best I've had in a long time. Super tender and flavorful with the perfect amount of garlic. They had a nice consistency.Aroncini: PERFECTION. Crispy outside and creamy inside. Entrees: Veal chop parmigiana (16oz) - these veal was incredibly tender and delicate.It came with a generous side of pasta too!Rigatoni with creamy red sauce and crispy chicken breast. I'm not a big fan of rigatoni, but they make their pasta in house and I have to say...fresh rigatoni is quite delightful.We left with enough food to have dinner for two nights!

I read the reviews prior. Accurate. Very good place. Big portions, good sauce. Get the crispy chicken on top of any sauce. Listen to me. No apps necessary. Full bar. Zero complaints....little cold when door open and heavy balsamic on brussels sprouts. Make reservations.

I came here with a big group for restaurant week and we had a great time! Some of us went with the restaurant week special (which was an amazing deal!) and others ordered off the regular menu.I had the crispy Brussels which were phenomenal, the rigatoni and meatballs (not usually a fan of meatballs but the vibes told me they'd be amazing, and they were!), and cheesecake with cherry sauce for dessert. We also enjoyed the arancini and bread with garlic "sizzle" sauce.They have a great selection of cocktails, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages. I had a non alcoholic Peroni and was glad to have an N/A option other than soda.Highly recommend for a good Italian dinner! One tip is that the portion sizes are huge, so come hungry or plan to share.

I went for Pittsburgh restaurant week and the deal is amazing. You get an app, a pasta for your choice and dessert. Me and my friend decided to split the apps. If you go and can't decide what app to get, honestly get one of each! They are all amazing!! My friend loved the Brussel sprouts. The bread is a must especially with the roasted garlic butter. I need all my butter to taste like that now! I got the spaghetti presto Alfredo with crispy chicken and it was incredible. My friend got the rigatoni tomato cream with grilled chicken.I do recommend making a reservation because it was busy!! The service was good. I loved all the family pictures on the wall by the booths.

I came to Garbarinos for the first time last week and had an incredible meal!! I am a huge pasta lover so I seriously cannot believe I haven't been here sooner. The pasta dishes were phenomenal. I got the rigatoni with the tomato cream and added a meatball. My fiancé got the rigatoni with meatballs. For apps, we got their homemade bread as well as the arancini. Both were so good and I would order them again. The service was great; our waitress was so sweet! The vibe of the place is more casual. I seriously cannot wait to come back!

Okay wow. I immediately need to preface how HUMONGOUS the portions here are. Vibes inside are cute, it was super packed when I came. To start off I ordered the caprese salad, which instead of sliced mozzarella cheese, it was burrata, which I was excited about! However I was a little sad when it came and was not served with any bread or cracker as a vehicle to eat the creamy burrata with. I think bread or some sort of cracker should definitely served with that just because of the soft texture of the cheese. Anyways I had to order a separate bread basket for the caprese salad, and the bread was served with sizzling garlic in olive oil and butter in a skillet and that was LIQUID GOLD. I literally wanted to drink that plain and pour it on top of everything lol. So def get the bread with the garlic side. For dinner I got the gnochetti with grilled chicken added on top and my boyfriend got the pesto cream with grilled chicken on top. His pesto pasta was super flavorful and really delicious! Mine was also really good! The grilled chicken served on top was also cooked so well and was also super well seasoned and charred perfectly. Even though it was just plain grilled chicken it was delicious! As I started off the review with, the portions were INSANE. Enough for a full second meal!

We went during restaurant week without reservations so we sat at the bar which was fine and still received good service. Food was fine. The salad was probably my favorite. Unfortunately my pasta was cold and didn't have much flavor to it. The other one was warmer and had more flavor (I believe that one was the spaghetti pesto Alfredo). Cannoli and sangria were good. The place itself is very cute looking. But I wouldn't return unfortunately.

Everything about this place was amazing! Four different pasta dishes all with house made pasta were excellent. Adding the crispy chicken cutlet on top was a perfect addition to the meal. Meals are family style so one plate could be 2 meals.Limited amount of tables kept the atmosphere feeling private while not too secluded. Service was great.
