In town on a video shoot and was craving some pizza. It didn't have many yelp reviews, buy decided to give it a try. Great pizza!

Awhile back, we were eating here in house and I ordered a calzone. It came out totally cold and uncooked in the middle which is gross and unacceptable. I sent it back. They basically microwaved it rendering it very chewy. I though this would've been common sense. Very disappointed and will probably not be back.

Johnstown PA is a typical mid-PA town that was originally populated with hardy, strong Italians who moved here to work in the steel mills. Some of them were pretty handy with the pizza dough, too and thankfully opened fabulous NYC style pizza places like this.Pizza was big, stretched dough style with lots of savory toppings. Home made dough and sauce!! Pretty amazing strombolis, too and friendly owner.Great prices, do not miss.

Stopped in randomly with my family today for a pizza and it was AWESOME. Don't live around here anymore so can't compare it to other local pizza, but I can't imagine it being any better than the one we had at Gallinas today. Friendly, fast service, too. Thanks so much!

We go here about once a week. The food is great, and the atmosphere is quiet. Prices are exceptionally reasonable. A great place to take a family.

i use to frequent Meco's Italian Restaurant along the river wall several times a week before Covid. it was my absolute favorite restaurant! I really miss it but realize it was unlikely Dominic would reopen. A friend suggested Gallinas and I'm so grateful she did! For me, no restaurant will replace Meco's but I do enjoy Gallinas. I have enjoyed everything I've ordered there. The bread comes out warm and is delicious, and I'm not a bread person! I've also ordered their pizza to go and it also was delicious. My fiance' is the coinsurer of pizza and he said it was good. We are not into the sweet sauce so we really enjoyed the pizza. All the servers are kind and helpful. They go that extra mile for you. I've spoken to the owner several times and he's so sweet and kind. The prices are very affordable. I would highly recommend this restaurant. The only downfall which does not reflect on the restaurant is the limited parking in front of the restaurant. They get a large crowd for lunch but I go at 1030 a.m. when they open. This way I can get close parking and a seat before the lunch crowd get there.

Wonderful calzone. 2nd best in Johnstown. This is a little out of the way for mebut the reason I go out of my way when downtown is - (Hard) Salami sandwiches! Grew up on them, in Jersey and NY/Philly - everybody offers them. Never seen themanywhere else in this area! When I was talking to the waitress, she mentioned in 1 1/2 yrs. working there; I'm the 1st person to get that while she was working. Had to look to see how to make it. It's hard salami, it's bread - it's delicious!

Awful. We were in town for a conference. We wanted to stay in and relax. We ordered one XL pizza, cheese sticks, and breadsticks. All of it was cold. The breadsticks were hard and the pizza greasy. I couldn't even bite into the cheese sticks. Also it was $42. That's ridiculous!!!

Used to love this place. I considered it the best pizza in Johnstown. Bought two pizzas the other day and they were absolutely horrible. I called to ask if they changed the sauce, and the lady said no. I said I must have gotten the scraps of the pot then. The sauce tasted like grass with a hint of hot sauce and a ton of salt. Worst pizza I've had in a while. I would have preferred bar pizza or frozen pizza. The lady on the phone was snotty. The chef in the background caught an attitude and said I was full of sh*t. Worst pizza in Johnstown hands down. I think they accidentally swapped the sugar and salt containers.

Great little Italian eatery. Very reasonable prices for really nice portions. Cozy laid back atmosphere with fine service. Easy walk from the holiday inn. They always have a special going on. You can eat here on a budget and leave feeling satisfied.
