Fundaze Back Bar

I came here a few weeks ago. It was a Friday and a group of ~10 of us dropped by after Edwin McCain performed. The place had a reasonable amount of people. I think Jessie was the only person working. If she wasn't, I'm really sorry I am overlooking the other person. I just remember interacting with Jessie each time we went to the bar. She was patient, quick, and effectively completed our drink orders. I don't know how she was handling everyone's orders so well, but she did an amazing job. She even had the energy to create a drink for me using the descriptor of "something sweet and/ or fruity." I can't recall what it was made of anymore, but I know that it was delicious enough that my other friend, who normally thinks some of my drinks are a little "too sweet," wanted one of her own after she tried a sip of mine. All in all, I'd return again if it can be guaranteed that Jessie will be our bartender, or that whoever is there was trained by Jessie to do the job. Again, no disrespect to anyone else who may have been working, but our crew remembered how great she was at taking all of our orders. To the owner, if you haven't done so in a while, I'd recommend giving her a raise. And I'll share my usual disclaimer (feel free to read prior reviews where I highlight the service): no, I don't personally know Jessie, nor did she pay me to say this. I truly did enjoy the service she gave me and my friends.

Awesome place! Bought my first house near here! I love to come hang out when I have time! Great people! Great everything!

Nice bar. Clean. I haven't tried any of their food yet. Drinks are large & reasonably priced.

Fundaze is a great little out of the way bar tucked in behind the Bavarian Village shops. After talking to some locals, they have apparently completely remodeled this place from what it used to be. Very clean, spacious and TV's everywhere. Typical bar menu, pizza, wings etc. I had the pizza which had generous toppings for a pretty decent price. Bartender Jessie was very friendly and attentive. Only drawback is they are cash only, no credit cards, but they do have an ATM onsite. Overall it is a very nice clean place to throw back a few after work. I will definitely be going back.

My friends and I enjoy meeting up here on Thursday's. In fact, we used to meet here before it was renovated and the name changed. When we stopped back in, we found that it had been greatly upgraded from what it once had been. Part of me kind of misses the "dank" of the former Roses, but this place is a good bar to sit in and watch a Pens game (or any other game for that matter) thanks to the myriad of available TV's.The bartender we see every week when we go in is also extraordinarily friendly. I'd recommend it.

Friendly staff and regular specials like Taco Tuesdays and drink specials during sporting events. Many TVs so many games are always available.

We were there having a couple of drinks and playing the poker machine when all of a sudden the owner and some unknown women came and told us it was time to leave . It was 2:00am BUT my husband and I both had a full drink and I had 55$ in the poker machine . They verbally attacked us , telling us they were calling the cops if we didn't leave. I asked what I should do with the 55$ in the machine? He ( the owner) said cash it out !! When I went to do so , suddenly I was left with only 84 cents . When I asked where my 55$ went, he ( the owner ) said you must've played it out!! I didn't even have time to play it out! Where did it go?? They were rude and very disrespectful! We simply were not aware of the time and were caught up in the game we were playing when we were made to leave. And we were told we weren't allowed to take our drinks with us , which we were clearly aware of! We never even alluded to the idea of wanting to take them with us ! The way we were talked to and threatened was uncalled for ! The bar tender even joined in , AFTER we tipped her nicely!!

Fundaze (the old roses) is still awesome. The new owners are lovely people and have made it very aesthetically beautiful. All the upgrades as far as construction and updated fixtures, faucets and technology. The good is pretty tasty too!! This is how a "dive" bar should be; clean simply and with friendly owners, bartenders and staff!!!!

Great bar. Friendly owners. They need to take credit cards. The owners told me it costs too much paying visa etc. I think they should pass that cost to the customers. I'm think that what others business must do.
