Fuji Sushi & Grill

Big fan of Fuji Sushi and happy to review them again. The service is sometimes a bit slow, but it's a one man show and Tommy is super friendly and gets everything as quickly as he can. It's normally pretty quiet and a great place to get sushi if you have the time. No alcohol, but I believe you can bring your own. Not important to us. Get the OMG roll when you visit. You won't be disappointed.

Delicious tasty quiet and pleasant. The owner was the only one there to prepare the dishes . But he put great care into each roll. Tempura was crispy and tender. Thanks for the meal!

This is some of the best sushi that I've ever had, you can't beat the prices either. I definitely recommend this place.

Food was marginal, wouldn't call it amazing. Service was slow...poor guy was so nice but was the only employee. Restaurant doesn't not serve alcohol but you can go next door to the bar and get to go beer. Ambiance is typical for a sushi restaurant...no frills or bells and whistles. Likely will not come back...would rather try other options in the area.

This place definitely looks like a little hole in the wall, but boy do they have good sushi! My boyfriend and I went here for dinner the other night and thoroughly enjoyed our spicy tuna crunch rolls. It was a bonus that all specialty rolls (basically all on the menu) were buy one get the second 50% off! Additionally, the tuna was "real" whole tuna. It wasn't the ground up tuna that most sushi places carry. The reason I am giving Fuji four stars has nothing to do with the food but rather the atmosphere. It's very quiet and pretty awkward. There was one TV that wasn't really working but instead making a light buzzing sound. Some soft background music would've made all the difference! There were three tables of customers including us and you could tell that everyone felt a bit uncomfortable. If they could work on the ambiance a bit, I would definitely give them 5 stars.

One of my favorite places to get sushi. This place is more about take pit but love sitting in the resturant when its empty nice place to relax and spill the T with friends. The sushi is so fresh, usually there is only one guy at night so service is a little slow but... worth the wait. This place is also byob too. There are tons of rolls to pick from my favorite is the piano roll and philly. All of the speciality rolls are really good too. Plus they are buy one get one half off. The prices here are super amazing for what you get. Also get the egg roll and seaweed salad. The egg roll comes with a creamy mustard. Overall this is a good to place to get my sushi fix, always recommend because of how low key it is.

A small restaurant but the food is absolutely delicious. The fried rice is probably the best I've ever had (no exaggeration!) and the sushi was quality. Ordered 3 California rolls, Pittsburgh Roll, Sweet & Sour Roll, Shrimp Tempura and another I can't remember the name. My favorite was the Pittsburgh roll (in the center). All the flavors just tied right together and it was huge!! It's in a small strip plaza but it's a must try if you love sushi! The owner served us and he was super nice and tentative to us. Will definitely be back when I'm in the area.

I went for the first time yesterday. I will say, that the empty restaurant surprised me after the meal I had. The owner, who I believe was serving me was a no-nonsense, quiet guy and was out of a few items that I was hoping to try, but I didn't mind. If anyone has been to a genuine and good Asian restaurant, you'll understand the vibe from the staff. I had the dumplings and a couple sushi rolls. They use real crab in their rolls, which I was pleasantly surprised about, as most places do imitation. The dumplings were so juicy. I will definitely stop back.

The fish appears to be fresh but the service is slow (we ordered when the restaurant was empty and it took 45 min for 4 rolls) and the composition of the rolls isn't good. Far too much rice and the rest isn't seasoned well, nor is there a depth of flavor. The rolls were mushy, each piece was rice-heavy and hard to chew, and the sauce on top is bland, like milky mayo. I only ate half my plate before I wanted to stop. I won't be coming back, and I'd give a lower rating than 3 stars but I didn't get I'll from the fish and I think that's all that some people want to know.

Might be the best sushi in pittsburgh. Good portion size, presentation is good (photo is half eaten, sorry haha) and service is great, the chef is very nice!Definitely recommend the OMG roll, its a roll wrapped in aluminum foil and set on fire when presented to the table
