Sign on the back of this stand indicates they've been making fudge for over 50 years! The lady helping us today may have been the original owner, I tried to ask but the road noise was a little too loud to make out complete sentences. Either way, got a peanut butter and chocolate brick for $5 and ate it very sparingly for the next 3 days! Great fudge, reasonable price and only open seasonally and on weekends as I understand it. Pro Tip: Its easiest to stop if you are leaving Cranberry headed out of town towards Beaver on Freedom Crider Rd. Coming the other way is too difficult to make a U-turn and get to the shoulder safely.

Just moved to the area and wasn't sure if this little stand was still open. Turns out it's seasonal and possibly only open on weekends. Cash only. I got one little brick of chocolate peanut butter and it was amazing! It was gone before I knew it! I'll be sure to stop by next time I see it open :)

We have driven past this fudge stand more times than we can count. The owners told us "That's what everyone says." Truth be told, this is a little gem on the side of the road. They are only open Friday through Sunday from sometime in the spring to sometime early winter. I'm not even sure what the official name is; the only markings on the roadside stand are "Fudge" and "Est. 1950." They have a wide selection of flavors. We tried the chocolate peanut butter, rocky road, and vanilla carmel. For all the fudge we left with, we only spent $8.75. I'm sure we would have paid double at other specialty shops. The fudge is smooth and the flavors are excellent. It's definitely worth checking this place out next time you drive by.

Composite review.I have been to this famous fudge stand on Freedom Road 3 times over the years. It is a local institution. Homemade fudge and chocolates. All in the most funky small roadside stand you can imagine. Just outside of Cranberry. Lots of people stop there during the spring, summer and fall. The fudge I've had was great. No downside. Key items -- local business, on a convenient road, with easy off road parking.f8 and be there.

This fudge stand was torn down in August 2022. It has been there for a very long time and was a local landmark. I remember buying fudge here in the early 1990s from the nice lady who lived in the house there. Her fudge was cut into small cubes and sold in brown paper lunch bags for just a few dollars. It was really good, very soft and would melt easily even on a not very hot day. She told me that she used a lot of butter in her fudge. My brother and I always referred to the road it was located on as "the road with the fudge stand." Sorry that it is gone now!
