Fritzy's Bistro

Stopped in this past weekend to eat dinner with my family. We were in the area running errands and the playful sign with the bunny and chalkboard with the specials of the day called to us. We didn't end up eating either of the specials, but did grab a Bridger Sandwich (named for the local high school team) and a western cowboy burger which came with onion rings, bbq sauce and jalapeños. I really enjoyed the burger and was pleased to learn that the onion rings and burger were both cooked to order and fresh! The Bridger was an enormous sandwich complete with standard sandwich toppings and had fresh seasoned chips on the side. It wasn't nearly as good as the burger in my mind, but certainly not bad either. Kim and her husband (didn't catch his name) run this local institution and were very friendly and accommodating. They even made our young son a balloon animal to play with. Nice experience all around and look forward to stopping in again soon

Stopped in last night with my husband and 18 month old son. My husband got the cowboy burger and I got the Bridger sandwich. Each came with homemade chips. The cowboy burger had shoe string onions and barbecue sauce while bridger had roast beef, a cheese sauce and sautéed onions. (As a side note, a portion of the proceeds from the Bridger go to Ambridge school sports) The portions were enormous and the prices more than reasonable! Both were filling and delicious! We were the only family eating in for most of the time we were there though several came in for takeout. Because of this, the owners, hostess and chef both came out and chatted with us while we ate. They told us all about the food they make, where the name Fritzys comes from, and showed us photos of several of their rotating desserts. The cheesecakes looked divine and apparently the chocolate chip cookies are gone in a matter of hours each time they make then. They were serving strawberry shortcake, but unfortunately we were too full to give it a try. The owners were so kind and friendly to our son. The chef made him a balloon animal dog and brought him some fresh strawberries that we weren't charged for. We were impressed and grateful for how interactive and kind they were to him. We had a great experience and look forward to stopping in again sometime soon! :)

My husband stopped to grab a takeout lunch. He got the steak hoagie. Sliced their own steak and homemade potato chips. Huge portions and delicious, per him. Will definitely be back

What a great place to eat. I had the Philly Steak Omelette and it was a 10. My wife had a great breakfast sandwich.

Fritzy's Bistro was recommended to me by a coworker. Ordered the steak hoagie that came with homemade chips and I ordered a side of fresh cut fries. The steak hoagie was huge and tasted great. Will be definitely trying other menu items soon!

Taco Tuesday was certainly a treat yesterday. Do not underestimate this small but mighty hidden gem in Ambridge.

I had the very best breakfast omelette ever at Fritz's! Their soups are homemade and delicious!! I have stopped by multiple times to pick soup for an elderly Relative. Thanks for opening your restaurant in our town of Ambridge!

If you like your Philly's full of peppers and onion with no meat then this is the place for you!! Oh and can't forget how bland it is. No seasoning at all! It let me down big time because locals told me it was the place to go.

Before ordering I asked if the burgers were frozen or handmade: I was assured that EVERYTHING was made fresh. After hearing that information, i asked that my Cowboy Burger be prepared Medium. Unfortunately it was prepared well, well done and Not fresh. Oh well. their talked-up homemade chips were not included as advertised. maybe because i added a $3 side of fries that was the size of a regular McDonalds order? The burger included "candied jalapenos" I was anxious to try these... not candied, simple jalapeno rings. There are two things that i did like: The bun and their embellishing menu writing skills. I was excited for the items on the menu, I'm sorry that I didn't receive anything like described. I order lunch 3-5 days a week in Ambridge/Baden/Leetsdale, and it takes a lot for me to stop ordering from a place... I had been told that Fritzys was not "all that", now I understand what that means.I wish them the best of luck, but with the other LIMITED options in our area, I can never see spending $13.25 on a burger and fries of that quality again. I truly wish it was better and a viable option.

I ordered a taco and soup. The taco was a little cold but I honestly didn't care because the soup was to die for. Been frequenting this place ever since. A healthy restaurant that serves delicious food too? That's what you get from here!
